God exhibits His utter desertion of his creation again.

Clearly you did not read or watch the video....if you will take the time to expand past your own hurt...you will see God’s loving embrace of ‘His creation’.....

....take the time.

How do you allow the killing of babies on a mass scale and 16 year olds to die of cancer? That is not a loving God who intervenes.

God sees death differently than you, I or the most intelligent person on earth. And yet you claim to judge him by YOUR puny standard?

Death isn’t even the worst thing that can happen to a person.

yldstrk, you are hurt....and like so many have been hurt badly somewhere in your past....I understand...so does God.

No one was more ‘hurt’ than Gods son...no one...and he understands ‘your’ pain now.... and loves you “now”....

God gave us freewill, it is in many ways his greatest gift to us... with that freewill so many have choose to do evil....and yet with that same freewill....millions upon millions choose to put their faith in Jesus Christ....to surrender their life to Him.

The evil in this world is not God...but a byproduct of that ‘freewill’.....

....the good is also a product of His love thru Christ.

Hope this helps you in the hurt you have today.

You are in my prayers.

Humans have free will, they kill, and do other harm, on their own. God is not in that.

As for the cancer...I do not know. We will all die, sometimes the means is different.

The answers are in the Bible. Seek God for them — if you dare. The book of Job is instructive. There is a scripture (let me challenge you to find it) stating that, if we believe that God exists and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, we will find Him.

If the young man’s father has peace with God, don’t you think it’s worth some serious investigation into the biblical reasons why?

I bought it for many years. I taught Sunday school. I trusted. I brought my kids up that way. Now look what has happened: The Catholic sex cult, ruining the lives of little kids, physical abuse of children all over the place, school, home, legals, illegals, coaches, teachers, twisted miserable excuses for human beings. I have lost hope. I acknowledge there is a God that inserts life into beings. I accuse Him of not giving a flying flip after that.

Understand. But your direction leads ultimately to unbelief. You just don’t admit it yet.

Au contraire. No one can create life but God. But why he wanted to watch His creature writhe in pain is beyond comprehension. Why He ordered His Son to be crucified defies all reason and it did no good. He allowed a hideous murder of His Son whom He claimed to love. If that is love, what is indifference? He didn’t stop Hitler by sending him an heart attack. Or Pol Pot, or Ivan the Terrible, or Henry VIII, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Che Guevera, Ho Chi Min and so on and so forth.

I don’t know what to tell you except that we don’t know everything. In fact, we know next to nothing.

You can accuse all the gods of the various religions for not intervening, but you cannot accuse the Christian God of not intervening, because not only did he intervene, he did in a way that was unimaginably personal, taking on all the suffering upon himself.

Are you so sure you know what love is? Who knows the mind of the Lord that he can council him?

What do we know? We know that Christ Jesus died for this young man while he was a sinner (and all of us!) God gave his life so that this young man could be with Him in eternity. And that is where he is now...with all those babies he spoke out for...

“I felt that a strong case against Christianity lay in the charge that there is something timid, monkish, and unmanly about all that is called “Christian,” especially in its attitude towards resistance and fighting... it did seem tenable that there was something weak and over patient about Christian counsels. The Gospel paradox about the other cheek, the fact that priests never fought, a hundred things made plausible the accusation that Christianity was an attempt to make a man too like a sheep. I read it and believed it, and if I had read nothing different, I should have gone on believing it. But I read something very different. I turned the next page in my agnostic manual, and my brain turned up-side down. Now I found that I was to hate Christianity not for fighting too little, but for fighting too much. Christianity, it seemed, was the mother of wars. Christianity had deluged the world with blood. I had got thoroughly angry with the Christian, because he never was angry. And now I was told to be angry with him because his anger had been the most huge and horrible thing in human history; because his anger had soaked the earth and smoked to the sun. The very people who reproached Christianity with the meekness and non-resistance of the monasteries were the very people who reproached it also with the violence and valour of the Crusades. It was the fault of poor old Christianity (somehow or other) both that Edward the Confessor did not fight and that Richard Coeur de Leon did. The Quakers (we were told) were the only characteristic Christians; and yet the massacres of Cromwell and Alva were characteristic Christian crimes. What could it all mean? What was this Christianity which always forbade war and always produced wars? What could be the nature of the thing which one could abuse first because it would not fight, and second because it was always fighting? In what world of riddles was born this monstrous murder and this monstrous meekness? “
