If one wonders how Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation employees like Bruce Ohr and Peter Strzok felt such impunity while actively meddling with the 2016 presidential election, one need look no further than the legacy of DoJs meddling in the Alaska Senate election of 2008. ---snip-- Not only did Stevens lose the election in 2008, his loss paved the way for a filibuster-proof majority for the Democrats in April of 2009. That means the misconduct paid off handsomely for Democratic partisans at no cost to the perpetrators. This DoJ election meddling helped a Democrat even though the DoJ was under a Republican attorney general, perhaps an early warning that DoJ was not under the political control of its Republican president.

Alaska Ping.
They knew eight years ahead of time that Trump would run and would need to be framed?
Heads should roll for this.

I wonder how many times they have got away with crap like this?
Herman Cain is probably asking the same question.
There wasnt a trial run. The methods have been refined in many cases over many years.
Consider the origins of phrases such as
- getting rolled
- twisting in the wind
- tit caught in a wringer
etc.
I’ve heard Rush talk about Sidney Powell’s book “Licensed to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice”
It talks about this case as well as the Enron case.
This type of thing has happened often enough that it has it’s own name, “Lawfare.” The Dems used this tactic against Sen. Ted Stevens. THey also used it against Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cong. Tom DeLay and Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin. All of these republicans were found innocent, but the Dems either accomplished their desire or came very close to doing so. The Dems, like Saul Alinsky, believe that the ends justify the means. Anything goes in their pursuit of power. Truth is irrelevant.
Ted Stevens, Tom Delay, Scooter Libby, others . . . all fell to rat lawfare. It won’t stop until we render the same unto them.
