Syrian war: UN warns Russia, Iran and Turkey against battle in Idlib

UN Syria envoy, Staffan de Mistura, told reporters on Thursday there was a high concentration of foreign fighters in Idlib, including an estimated 10,000 terrorists, but it would be better to set up humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians than rush into a battle that could prove to be a “perfect storm”.

A source told Reuters that Russia’s ally, the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, was preparing a phased offensive in Idlib.

On Thursday the Kremlin called Idlib a hotbed of terrorists and said not tackling the problem was not a good option.

As the media focuses on the mundane and irrelevant , let me present the final battle against Isis in Syria as a topic of real importance. Understand that Isis has fled to the area of Idlib ,in western Syria as a last refuge from their slaughter by the good guys and Isis ( Sunni Wahhabi) is using 2.9 million people as human shields. I am reading that Syria/Russia/Iran militia have assembled 300,000 troops and 30,000 armored vehicles for the final battle against 70,000 Sunni Wahhabi Isis and anti Assad forces. The Russian navy has staged 28 naval ships in the Mediterranean near Syria. No Russian ground troops are known to be used but Russian air force is there by invitation of the sovereign Syrian government. We are not invited there. Absolutely no chemical attacks have ever been proven against the Syrian government. One alleged attack was absolutely refuted by none other that General "Mad Dog" Mattis. The last attack in Dhouma was reviewed on the ground by the UN and Syria was NOT determined as responsible. Russia is reporting that they have satellite evidence that Chlorine canisters have been moved into Idlib by Isis. I tend to believe this report. In summary -- this horrific battle is coming. We have no business interfering what so ever. I am convinced the NEOCONS will try to get involved over staged "chlorine attacks" . let's see if I'm right. It is extreme folly , if we do. Don't fall for this lie " There is general agreement of our intelligence community that the Chemicals were used by Assad" . Demand PROOF!! It is absurd for Assad/Russia etc to gas their own people!! There is no strategic or military benefit in that what so ever. This staged "CHEMICAL ATTACK!" non sense has been tried 3 times before to get this country involved. Each time it was a bald faced lie.

Russia and Syria are not “good guys”. They couldn’t be good guys if they tried. And they have no intention of trying to be good guys.

But, destroying ISIS will be a good thing. Poison gas or not.

If the largest armies in the region (Turkey and Egypt) sent everything they had, it would not come near 30,000 armored vehicles.

Maybe Syria could muster 300 for Idlib.

Idlib is an al Qaeda stronghold, rather than ISIS, but Turkey is engaged in a big train and equip mission to create a more professional Army from among the jihadis there, that will likely be their surrogate.

Wow. You are a live one. You bring the Washington compost as your authority? Are you kidding me with that crap? Let me tell you what is happening. Deep state is rigging a “chemical attack” in order to get us to go fight and die again based on a lie. It is not going to happen again.
