I hope Kavanaugh is confirmed this week or next. Even that is longer than it should’ve been Getting too close to the election and giving the maniacs more time to find or invent something about him is a real bad plan.

There needs to be a mandatory judge retirement age .

William Nealon, longest-serving US judge in history, dies

The longest-serving U.S. district judge in the nation’s history has died.
Judge William Nealon of Scranton, Pennsylvania, died Thursday. He was 95.

President John F. Kennedy appointed Nealon to the federal bench in 1962. The federal courthouse where he worked was renamed for him more than 20 years ago.

On Tuesday, Nealon became the longest-serving U.S. district judge in the 229-year history of the federal judiciary, surpassing a judge who served in the 19th century, according to a report in The Times-Tribune of Scranton. He had intended to retire at the end of September.

Actually, for all his faults, McConnell has done a decent job shepherding these judicial nominees through the Senate. And remember, without his holding the line, Merrill Garland would’ve been Scalia’s replacement.

Grassley and McConnell are getting the judicial nomination process right. And those appointments are one of the most powerful weapons of any presidency.

Now if we could just get RBG to cooperate and quit dodging the grim reaper our President Trump could have a hat trick in the first two years of his presidency?

Not a chance it's in the next two weeks.

and just why was a “deal” with Scummer necessary to confirm judges?

According to the US Constitution, it is a primary job for them to do!!

I hate myself for saying it, but hats off to the turtle.

These 60, plus the number yet to be confirmed, will give America a chance to stave off socialism in the coming years.

That witch would have her rotting corpse dragged into the Supreme Court room to frustrate Trump. Her hatred rivals that dead punk McCain’s.

It’s just a short time before Ruth Buzzy slumps in her drool on the bench and doesn’t wake up. I really doubt she makes it to 2020.

“...……. Kavanaugh is confirmed this week or next. Even that is longer than it should’ve been..”

The process is broken as the libs drag their feet, hoping to delay, delay, delay. Why not set a shorten time for approval with the stipulation of a “term limit” set for all future judges? Look how long Gingsburg has been asleep at the wheel. Does she ever work?

ie: Ginsburg. I’m so disappointed in her. Didn’t she promise to leave the US if Trump became President?

Excellent question. The answer cannot be good.

While I am as hopeful as you, reality indicates that the Rats could care less about what courts decide. The Rats will get back in power, eventually.

All accounts re that Schumer wanted time off from the sessions that McConnell was forcing the senate into, and asked what he wanted in return, McC said 15 judges, and Schumer agreed. All the dem threads are livid that he gave up 15 judges (which he, schumer, and the dems could have stretched out for quite a while, under the Senate rules), for 2 days vacation. Of course, some folks here seem to be livid or suspicious for the reverse. as Rosanne Rosannadanna said, “If it’s not one thing, it’s another” — No pleasing some people.
