I suspect that Sessions mislead Congress about what Huber is supposed to be doing.
Huber was appointed to the “Attorney General’s Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys” (AGAC) last November, and made it seem like some special attention was being paid to the Clinton gang.
In 3D chess, are you supposed to allow the opposing side to capture your pieces while you do nothing?
Huber was not appointed by Obama....

Instead, AG Sessions stated that he was going to ask an Obama appointee to look into the situation. We knew then that Sessions was balking and doing all he could to prevent justice in his Justice Department and now there’s proof.

I've not followed Huber closely. If he wasn't an Obama appointee prior to the Sessions appointment, it seems to kind of undercut the point of this commentary, particularly the trailing part of the first paragraph.

<>CNN first reported that John Huber, the federal prosecutor in Utah, has been investigating Republicans’ allegations that the FBI abused a surveillance program against a former Trump campaign adviser. Huber was reportedly looking at whether the FBI should have more thoroughly probed Hillary Clinton‘s ties to Uranium One, a Russian nuclear energy agency.
The fly in the ointment here is that Huber is a prosecutor in Utah while the Constitution requires and prosecution of an alleged Federal crime to be made in the district where the crime is alleged to have been committed. The Omabunists and Clinton accomplices here all committed their crimes in the general areas of either DC or NYC. That being the case, it's hard to see how Hub er would even have jurisdiction to issue any subpoenas and impanel a grand jury to investigate the myriad of cases.
Well no decision shall be made without the two cents of ExtremelyExtremeExtremist. It is only fair and Q would want it that way. :)
Been saying it here on fr for 9 months. If you actually read the memo from Sessions to Grassley, it says Huber is doing an investigation to see if anything warrants another Special Counsel. That’s it.
And the report is to be given only to Sessions and Rosenstein. Nobody else.
So my question now, is, where is the report? Is it already done? Does Rosensessions already have it??? What does it say???

Qooks go nuts when you point this out, as I have on their safe-space threads. They say he has super secret Huber powers that permit him to subpoena people in other jurisdictions to testify for crimes comitted elsewhere.

Actually Huber has an interesting employment history.
Yes he was appointed by Obama, but he was fired by Trump then reappointed by Trump to his current position. Kinda interesting point don’t you think? Actually appointed ny Trump, Trump interviewed Mueller for 3 hours
How do we know who Huber has interviewed? Also, Huber isn’t just “a lawyer”, he’s a U.S. Attorney, you know the guys who lead the investigation and prosecution of federal crimes and organized crime. Guillani was a USA and took down John Gotti, for instance.
These guys don’t do press releases while running investigations.
So, we don’t know the status of Huber’s investigation.
Also, he’s been tasked to work with the Office of Inspector General, who is doing an investigation of the same topic. At a minimum, I would not expect indictments until IG Horowitz issues his findings.
We should all hope and pray that Huber and Sessions are doing the right thing and i investigating the bad guys.
Because if they aren’t there is only one way out of this mess and it won’t be pretty.
