Graham: Kavanaugh will be confirmed with 55 or more votes
The Hill ^ | September 2, 2018

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday predicted that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh would receive the support of multiple Democrats and be easily confirmed. Graham said on "Fox News Sunday" that he believes at least 55 senators will vote to confirm Kavanaugh if the nominee does well in his confirmation hearings, which begin this week.

To receive 55 votes, Kavanaugh would need the support of at least four Democrats. The Republicans currently hold a 50-49 majority in the Senate, which will increase to 51-49 when Gov. Doug Ducey (R) appoints the replacement for the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

"I think there are a handful of Democrats who will vote for Judge Kavanaugh and maybe even more," Graham said. "If you’re looking to a Republican president to pick a qualified conservative, he would be on the top of anyone’s list.”

Kavanaugh will face three days of confirmation hearings beginning Tuesday. He will appear for two marathon days of grilling on Wednesday and Thursday when he appears in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Graham is a member of that panel.

Democrats will fundraise as much they can in opposition and then Chuck-u Schumer will decide who may vote for approval.

Graham is really trying to get in conservatives good graces because the political climate has changed and he lost his strongest ally. He’s one of the biggest whores in Congress and that’s saying something.

Should be unanimous.

But that isn’t the Democrat idea of “bi-partisan.”

If the commie left wants to honor John McCain like they all claim to LOVE him now..they will confirm Kavanaugh, after all one of McCain’s final tweets was his approval of Kavanaugh and hopes that he would be confirmed..so Schmucky Schumer, honor McCain by confirming Kavanaugh let’s see if they will honor McCain like they said they will

It’s still shameful that most of the minority party will vote against him. There’s not been a single fault or impropriety discovered about this nominee in all the time hes been waiting for confirmation. The Ds’ voting against such an apparently exemplary nominee is, well, deplorable

Ego feeder false religion of the politico-Sunday talk shows. I am so glad I gave up that addiction and the bloviating they spew. Me thinks the Senator like to hear he makes news,

If Jeff Sessions had a shred of integrity left, he would resign and allow President Trump to appoint a more suitable replacement.

Judge Jeanine Pirro comes to mind.

Really good whores never miss an opportunity, and their target genuinely thinks he will be the one to “reform” the “fallen angel”.

Enough money buys you time and attention, for as long as the money lasts. Or does not get outbid down the road.

Hopefully Ducey has already informed his choice and they are already packed for DC. I’d like them to be appointed and taken immediately to the airport. Hopefully it will be a good solid conservative.

I think we still need at least one more SC appointment to feel somewhat confident about progress getting our country back.

Kagan, Sotomayor, Breyer, Ginsburg

vs.

Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh

That leave the deciding vote to Roberts, who with his treasonous Obamacare vote, showed patriots he is compromised and bought.

Sooner or later and well before the end of President Trump’s tenure rgb will be exposed for her Weekend at Bernie’s public performances.

My DDG search engine doesn’t give me any info on Weekend @ Bernies public exposure, just some stupid AA guy named George Wallace making reference to it, but not really explaining what it is....

But whatever it is, I hope it’s exposed soon!

These confirmations should be in the area of 99 to 1.....not along party lines.

These USSC nominees were for "We, the people".... And it's why they are life time appointments...so that there was no one holding a card for them when they left.

President Trump could fire him at any time. But he has not.

He could also privately demand that Sessions submit his resignation. That apparently has not happened either.

Maybe JS is doing what the President wants him to do.
