The tourism board serves Lexington, where The Red Hen is located, and other communities that are about three hours from Washington.

The Red Hen incident in June prompted thousands of calls and emails to the tourism office. They’re still coming in. The office received a letter on Thursday from a Georgia family that wrote to say it would never return because of what happened.

Looks like actions have consequences.   /s

Tourism Board needs to have a few words with the Health Dept.

I wonder how the owners of other businesses in the area feel. The leftist nuts have ruined it for everyone (like they always do). I hope the Red Hen owner is being treated like the trash she is by the business owners she has hurt.

As someone else suggested, wouldn’t it be smart to invite Sarah and her family back and treat her nicely? I don’t mean at the Red Hen, of course, but I know there are other restaurants in town - I saw one earlier in the year attached to a hotel.

Simple!

The tourism board just needs to announce that they have retained Chick-fil-A to conduct three months of customer relations training for all of the town’s retail businesses.

So, the ole Red Hen is hurting everybody! Sharp as a marble that one! Good on the folks for staying away!

The problem is that they lay about a mile off I-81. In a normal day, I bet before the episode....they probably had 3,000 cars that pulled off....bought gas or ate lunch/dinner in the town. No one says what the number might be today, but I bet they lost one-third of their business cycle.

In my humble opinion, Red Hen probably has to close...to bring about some closure to this public perception.

The Red Hen really laid an egg. May it go out of business, leaving the owners in extreme debt. May they get sued, forcing them to work sweeping floors in a burger joint.

Washington and Lee is located here (our daughter and son in law met in law school there) and VMI so hopefully those students and visiting families will go to any MAGA supporting establishments in the area so that patriot business owners don’t end up suffering financial loss.

Awwwwww. What a shame. For the rest of the town that may be more conservative leaning, it may get better. If you run the red hen out of town.

The problem with lefties is that they think they are the only ones who matter. they really believe they are a majority when they are actually more of a very loud obnoxious minority.

The Bible even warned about self importance: Lk 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”…

I just checked Yelp. They are still running active interference for RedHen by pruning reviews.

Mess with the bull, ya get the horns. I know it’s not “all” the businesses fault, but they should so ostracize this douchenozzle and provide a huge welcome to Sanders that no one ever does this crap again.

I despised Obama but I would never think of not serving him or one of his administration at my business (if I had one). Well, I do, actually. So I would never think of not selling him a copy of my film “Rockin’ the Wall.”

I’m originally from that area. Most of the folks/business owners in Lexington are rabid leftists (academia, tenured and retired, thanks W&L!) They are twisted around the axles now because they have been put in the position of choosing between blue and green.

As I recall old western movies, the southeast part of the US was always full of ghost towns, usually because the gold rush did not pan out or the railroad went someplace else. Since this town seems to be a Hillary support place, it's not like the one restaurant was an exception; they just got the opportunity to go first.

When the entire town is abandoned, maybe people would start to realize that actions have consequences. Right now, this is just a blip.
