The girl didn’t actually exist and it was a sting operation. IMO they wanted to sensationalize the case to make it look worse and lock in a jury. Unnecessary and the case could be thrown out due to that.
I hope they plastered their photos on the front page of the newspapers.

I didn’t read the article, but I wanted to see the face of this dumb, exploitative predator. A line from an article about him:

Being a father himself, he thought nothing of somebody else putting a handicapped 12yo up for that. So many layers of ick in his story. I feel sorry for his wife and hope that she has already called a divorce attorney.
Well, this dumbass lieutenant may dodge a bullet in the civilian courts but he'll still face a military court. And even if he dodges that bullet as well (fat chance), he's still a 30-year old naval officer, married with a son, who drove from Mayport to Orange Park to f*** a 12-year old deaf girl. His name and face are all over the internet and everyone in the Navy knows who he is.
He's ruined.

I also knew someone like this. He was always holding small public offices. He became the head of animal control or something, then absconded with all the donations to the shelter, said he was on an official trip and instead went to Thailand to screw little kids. He had several children of his own as well. Why???
