Former GOP governor of Kansas endorses Democrat Laura Kelly over Kris Kobach

Republicans in Kansas further splintered Tuesday as the last moderate member of the party to hold the governor’s office endorsed a Democrat for governor over Kris Kobach, the GOP nominee.

In a statement, former Kansas governor Bill Graves said he planned to support state Sen. Laura Kelly in the November election. Kelly is running against Kobach and independent Greg Orman.

“Laura Kelly is the only Democrat I have ever endorsed for public office,” Graves said in the statement. “And the reason I’m doing that now is because I believe so much is at stake in the state of Kansas. I have known Laura for over thirty years. She has all the qualities and all the capabilities that we are looking for to lead the state during this difficult time and to reestablish the state to what it once was.”

I believe it's time to face facts. We're on our own.

There is no Republican party to stand-up for us or defend us or investigate for us.

It's now just us.

What comes next?

Disgusting,

But we must not give up.

Get out the vote for the Republican candidate everywhere.

President Trump needs a Republican majority in Congress to pass his agenda to MAGA, while the Democrats would try to impeach him.

A Koch cult kid, no doubt:

He left office in 2003. If I recall, he was the Republican governor who was a Planned Parenthood flak (but isn’t that what “moderate Republican” ALWAYS means?) He was out of office before John Kerry even won a primary! You may as well ask who Christine Todd-Whitman of Arlen Specter is endorsing.

Trump on the Koch twins:

“I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas,” Mr. Trump fumed on Twitter in an early morning series of posts. And several Republicans, including some allies of the Kochs, accused them of self-aggrandizement.”

I don't want to give up but it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up hope when we see nothing being done for us.

How many books with documented evidence detailing the misconduct of the Clintons and Obamas have been written and yet no Republican seems to seize the evidence.

Democrats attack when a Republican sneezes while Republicans don't even talk about what Democrats do.

All Hail the UniParty.

I'll get over this slump but articles like this don't help.

”...to lead the state during this difficult time.”

Since Trump’s election, it’s become dead simple to tell liberals from conservatives. Liberals are the ones constantly talking about these “trying” or “difficult” times, and speaking in apocalyptic terms. I hear it all the time at work. They look and act like everyone they know suddenly died.

It’s amazing to watch how utterly disconnected their perception is from the booming economy, soaring optimism, and bold reassertion of America’s role in world affairs. They’re like that cartoon character who, on a bright sunny day, walks around with his own personal little rain cloud over his head.

We are looking at the McCain/Flake/Sessions wing of the Republican Party. Their girl lost and they will too.

“... this difficult time”

It is a difficult time for the defeated and failing globalist elite, but for normal Americans with consumer confidence back to levels not seen since 2006.

So a Democrat who once pretended to be a Republican is voting for the Democrat. Big whoop.

In the future please use the cap lock key in addition to bold underlined text. Maybe a < H1 or 2 > tag to draw attention.

We have a petition circulating to get the “flash” html code re-instated. The DeadHead Threads cant stop complaining about it!
