An Updated Rules For Radicals For Our Side
Vanity ^ | 9/6/2018 | LRoggy

Here's my updated Rules For Radicals by Alinsky for today's time and our side:

*****

"Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."

The Establishment and the Deep State perceive they hold all the cards and right now they are basically right.

The only way to fight it is to be able to go around what they control and play guerilla warfare. Social media was designed for this, which is why they are so desperate to censor the popular sites.

Use multiple accounts and be willing to play their game until they lose control, which they will over time.

"Never go outside the expertise of your people."

Don’t play the media’s game. They are the experts.

NEVER, and I mean NEVER, answer a journalist’s questions. Take away their platform and they are nothing but over-paid novelists. If they can’t get any comments they CAN’T creatively play with them.

Carry a voice recording device (your phone works fine) and make sure the interaction is recorded.

When questioned why you won’t answer their questions just smile and say “your profession is ethically bankrupt and undeserving of my time”. If they ask if they can quote you say NO and walk away. If they quote you, take out the recording and replay for everyone to hear.

"Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy."

Our side has the facts right now as far as how policy is working in this Administration. Most journalists are ignorant of history and economics. Stay factual and make sure you have more than one source to back it up.

Play a game with it. Check out your kid’s History book from school and cherry pick the most egregious crap. Focus on it and put the defending of the crap front and center.

"Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."

Culturally appropriate the 60’s Movement.

Gather groups in public and sing the following (make sure it is a diverse crowd):

We shall overcome . . . have placards with you that target the Establishment/Deep State and Leftist targets, with a circled slash through it. A diverse group singing We Shall Overcome while holding Brennan placards and Mueller placards are a very effective visual.

All we are saying is give Trump a chance . . . (imagine Diamond & Silk leading a black audience in singing that!)

And similar.

Nothing will drive the Left crazier than shoving their musical idolatry back in their faces.

"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."

There are plenty of historical examples to use to make fun of our enemies. If you are good at creating posters here’s a few examples (use pictures):

Rachel Maddow = Tokyo Rose George Soros = Hitler Youth Tom Steyer = Mussolini Carl Bernstein = Baghdad Bob Chuck Todd = Useful Idiot

Use popular cartoon characters of today as satirical bases like the Peanuts strips that are on Today’s Toons.

Nancy Pelosi = Lucy Pulling the Football Away Valerie Jarrett = Cruella DeVille John Kerry = Chippendale’s Dancer

And so on.

"A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

Making fun of the Establishment/Deep State is something we can all agree on is FUN as well as NECESSARY.

"A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag."

Thanks to social media we can flood the zone, moving on from one to another to keep it fresh. A YouTube style channel on our own controlled host is powerful.

"Keep the pressure on."

Goes without saying. We are seeing how the other side does it, so learn from it and mimic it.

"The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

I think this needs updating for today’s information society. Winning elections is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to terrorizing the Establishment/Deep State/Left.

And when you win, focus on one or two things. The single most important thing for our side to do is a full-frontal assault on the Education Establishment. We have punted too long. A simple focal point. Ideological Diversity is a must for a college to participate in Federal Student Loans. No exceptions if you take money. If the schools won’t play at least make them pay for their crap out of their own funds. Hillsdale showed that federal support is not needed.

An easy target: Reeducate the public about the Duke 88 and the amount of money paid to the students. Follow the 88 around and let the spotlight bring out the way they are. Believe me, it’s an eye opener if you have forgotten.

"The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."

Social Media outlets that are NOT controlled by the Left are necessary. Twitchy is already available. There are new YouTube-style sites to utilize. Disengagement POLITICALLY from all the common sites is only feasible when our sites are popular.

"If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside"

Keep up the pressure, don’t stop until the other side cries ‘Uncle’. And then step on their neck.

Never fail to utilize ridicule in an interaction with someone from the other side. And LAUGH about it.

"The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

Rush was the first and Fox News was next. They might not be the be all and end all now but it served a purpose in that it taught us some lessons about having access.

Breitbart was very successful because he also knew how to play HIS game, not THEIR’s.

The constructive alternative is tougher to find in this instance. It’s easy to come up with alternative media because of social media tools, it is not easy to come up with alternatives to the Establishment/Deep State if you don’t win at the ballot box.

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

We all know this one. But the interesting thing is how to pick the first targets. Going straight to the top of the Establishment/Deep State likely does not work. Going after their surrogates and senior aides makes more sense to start because the general public knows much less about those people and are likely to not have formed opinions.

The proper targets would be people like Brennan and Podesta, Blumenthal and Brock. People with skeletons in the closet that are not known by most people.

Brennan should be easy to attack . . . Brennan = Crying Baby is a simple and effective meme.

Podesta also would be easy, focusing on Podesta = Manafort. Drive home the lack of prosecution of Podesta. Take them down ONE by ONE, do NOT overreach and try to make it too easy for the other side to change the subject.

Good Hunting!
