CINCINNATI -- Police say four people are dead, including the gunman, in a downtown Cincinnati bank shooting. Two other victims had gunshot wounds.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley said the gunman was "actively shooting innocent victims" and that it was a "horrific" scene.

Police Chief Eliot Isaac said the shooter opened fire early Thursday morning at the loading dock of the Fifth Third Bank building.

Isaac said the gunman then entered the bank's lobby. He said 3-4 officers engaged with the suspect. It's unclear if the gunman shot himself or was shot by officers.

Not to awfully far from me. Been to the building many times. Yes, it’s a “gun free zone”.

The mayor is an idiot. The quote proves it.

If an AR-15 was used this would be all over the news.

There are schools within a few miles of the banks. I’ll bet liberals will classify this as another mass school shooting. Courtesy of Trump, of course!

So no “hoggalinskis” beam on the clouds calling for a boycott?

Rules state “any” shooting with three or more victims (including the perp) will be called a mass shooting. School,or not. Since a lot of people don’t get past the word “mass” and think hundreds of victims.

Frankly I’m surprised we don’t see more unhinged individuals who’ve been foreclosed on or something attacking banks. Just from the sheer numbers.

My local credit union had a “ no weapons” sticker that I regularly ignored until they put in a metal detector at the entrance. I rarely go there now since it’s a hassle to remove my holster and stow it, do my banking and then retrieve and put on my holster. I’m not interested in getting Alien Gear’s system holster, either.

One would think that banks, pharmacies, gas stations, liquor stores and convenience stores would welcome law-abiding carriers as customers.

There was a substitute teacher in the Queens JHS i taught in who owned a liquor store in Flushing. Like many liquor store owners, even in NYC, he had a police issued CCP. One day when making a deposit in his bank a guy showed up to rob it. My coworker and an off duty NYPD cop drew their weapons and after six or seven shots put the guy down without harm to anyone else.

My credit union had a sign posted warning against threats towards employees and physical violence. Made me wonder just what kind of deranged screwballs have accounts there.

In another life I used to do that type of work.

You can’t imagine the threats people make against you and your family by the lunatics of society who steal air.

It’s without a doubt much worse now.

Mine has a sign, too. It also has a picture on the coin sorting machine in the lobby of about half a dozen different rounds of ammo surrounded by a circle with a slash through it. I wonder how that first oops went.

USAA Bank in San Antonio had a no-weapons sign that didn’t comply with Texas law. Then they put one up that did comply. Last time I went to the lobby, there was no sign at all. ‘Bout time, USAA - most of your customers know our way around a weapon pretty well...

If that were true then there should have been a spike in foreclosure related crimes back in 2008-2010.
