After more than twelve hours of questioning on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is back in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee today for a second round.
Democrats like Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Richard Blumenthal have done their best to attack Kavanaugh's character, with little substance on his record.
Republican Ted Cruz, also a legal scholar, says his far-left colleagues have been unsuccessful in their repeated attempts to derail Kavanaugh's nomination.
"In two days of hearings in the Judiciary Committee the Democrats have not laid a single glove on Brett Kavanaugh. There's been a lot of screaming, a lot of protesting, there's been a lot of anger and it's really a reflection of the incredible rage and fury we've seen on the left," Cruz said during an interview on Hannity. "By all appearances, these protests are closely coordinated with the Democrat Senators."
"Yesterday 70 people were arrested, but at the end of the day, the rage, the anger they're having. They haven't been able to give a single argument that is going to rerail this nomination. No Democrat has disputed that Brett Kavanaugh is qualified to serve on the Supreme Court. They're just really expressing the rage of the far left to Donald Trump," Cruz continued. "Come October, we're going to see judge Kavanaugh become Justice Kavanaugh and that's a great victory for everyone of us who cares about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and our fundamental liberties."
Kavanaugh faces another round of questioning on Thursday and is expected to be given a full Senate vote by the end of the month.
I agree with Ted. So far, every single attack has actually bounced back on them.
Question:
Have the histrionics of the distrupters, and the grandstanding of Democrats on the committee, changed anyone’s opinions n?
If any of you are more moderate or undecided, can you honestly say, that these hearings have persuaded you that the Democrats view of things is where you are at? Can you honestly say that the ongoing meltdowns of opponents has made you think, gee, this judge wants women impaled on coat hangers, and he’s a racist etc.?? Anyone at all think the Democratic strategy has moved the court of public opinion?
I agree. Don’t the Dems realize how bad it makes them look? It will not help them with Independents and hopefully will energize the GOP voters.
It's who they are. It's what they do. They have nothing of substance to say, so they rant and rave. I'm surprised they haven't been out in the street with giant, badly made, paper-mache puppets.
The good news is that like the McCain funeral, this will be over in a few weeks.
Oh thank heaven, the McCain fiasco is finally over?
Smirk...
Turns out the “confidential” emails weren’t confidential at all. They had been cleared for public release already.
Cory Booker, former Mayor of Newark, NJ, now the least livable city in the USA, was just GRANDSTANDING for his base in a push to boost his Presidental chances.
“I agree. Dont the Dems realize how bad it makes them look? It will not help them with Independents and hopefully will energize the GOP voters.’
The Left Anti-Trump Socialist Dems are looking in a mirror and see a hero. The problem is they are looking in a carnival mirror.
Booker and Kamala came across as very angry and nuts, as always.

I used to call Democrats like this
Fringe Lunatic Liberals. But,nowdays, there’s nothing Fringe about it.
Source of your comment please...
There are articles today that say he recognized that they were Committee confidential and he was defying that knowingly as they were not previously cleared for release.
The Democrats shot their wad over this nomination. What are they going to do when President Trump nominates a replacement for Ginsberg?
She is 85, time is not on her side.
One of the things that surprises me is why she did not retire when Democrats controlled both the White House and Congress.
A super liberal would have been nominated and approved regardless of any Republican objections.
Now if she dies leading up to the next Presidential election there may be calls to wait until after the election but I say why? If the Republicans have the votes then they should replace her when they have the chance.
I would never have chosen Kavenaugh and yet I am realistically only in favor now of his confirmation. Nothing they have said has swayed me otherwise.
THESE IDIOTS DOUBLED DOWN ON HILLARY. Holy hell, theyd be ushering in a Sanders Leftie onto the court right now!!!! They deserve worse than Kavenaugh.
The Democrats/Leftists continue to be ‘way in over their heads attempting to take on Kavanaugh ... just as they have been for nearly two years with President Trump.
...Have the histrionics of the distrupters, and the grandstanding of Democrats on the committee, changed anyones opinions?...
It sure hasn’t led to gaining new democrat voters for 2018 or 2020. It is showing America how insulting, desperate, and rude democrat legislators and those in the audience who are acting out are.
When John Dean testifies I would ask all Republicans to waive their time and grant it to Ted. He can slow roast Dean to perfection. Don’t ask him anything about what he is testifying about, merely destroy his credibility by asking him about his felony conviction in the Watergate scandal, and ask him to identify the felony counts the Independent Counsel leveraged against him to compel his turning in on Richard Nixon. Ask him to spell the word “f-e-l-o-n”, perhaps multiple times.

I can’t remember the Senators name, but one during a break told a news person that they were cleared by those holding them for release at 4am today. Andhe said Booker’s office knew that.I’ve pretty much been watching this since the big fight this morning. I’m sure you could Google itif you want more info
