House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) on Thursday called President Trump’s furious reaction to an anonymous administration official's op-ed disparaging him in The New York Times a “manifestation of his instability.”
Pelosi said her “first thought” was that Vice President Pence penned the opinion piece, which described efforts among staffers in the Trump administration to push back against the president's instincts.
Not long after the op-ed was published Wednesday afternoon, Trump tweeted “Treason?” in all caps. He later demanded the Times identify the piece's author "for National Security purposes."
“The president saying it’s treason is, again, a manifestation of his instability,” Pelosi said. “But what was said in there is a reflection of what we hear from many Republicans around the country, not in Congress: That the party of Lincoln cannot survive as the party of Trump.”
Pelosi added that it “probably won’t take too long for us to find out who wrote it.”
“Who has denied it already? The vice president,” she said. “That was my first thought.”
Jarrod Agen, Pence's deputy chief of staff and communications director, on Thursday denied that Pence authored the op-ed, tweeting that the vice president's office "is above such amateur acts."
Several other White House officials have also denied writing the op-ed, including Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.
The anonymous Trump official in the op-ed bashed the president's "amorality" and praised the work of "unsung heroes" who push back against him, suggesting a coordinated effort from within.
At least she acknowledges it was a Republican who freed the slaves.

Are you sure this isn’t from The Onion?” How can a woman (and I use that term loosely) who is so out of touch with reality, comment on someone else’s “instability.”
When you’ve had as many “cosmetic surgeries” as Pelosi has, ( noting she now has a gotee, no longer needs a bra, and has ears that overlap on the back of her head) you have to consider that collateral damage has been done to her brain!

What this disgusting liar wrote in the NYTimes does not appear to qualify as treason, at least no more so than the routine statements and actions of the vast majority of democrats in office.
This person is involved in a horrendous crime, although not the one that our President named. I hope the author and all members of the Deep State who actively subvert the government and thwart the lawful orders and policies of the elected President of the United States will be charged with the correct crime, tried, convicted, and sentenced to many decades behind bars. These people are evil, and they are unsafe around ordinary, decent Americans.
