As President Trump confronted a torrent of anonymous charges from within his administration over his authority and fitness to govern, he sought validation Thursday from an unlikely source, one of the world's most sinister autocrats.
"Kim Jong Un of North Korea proclaims 'unwavering faith in President Trump,'" the president tweeted early Thursday morning. "Thank you to Chairman Kim. We will get it done together!"
The tweet underscores one of the dangers that a weak American presidency could pose to the country, giving foreign adversaries leverage to exploit the sense that Trump is being undermined from within. The moment in Trump's presidency carries echoes of the toughest days of Presidents Nixon and Clinton, when many viewed their foreign policy decisions through the lens of domestic scandal.
The president publicly acknowledged he was at odds with top leaders in his government even before the New York Times on Wednesday published a rare, anonymous op-ed from a person identified only as a senior administration official. The official asserted that top advisors had considered invoking the Constitution's 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and had worked since the inauguration to thwart some of his instincts.
"Amazingly alone," Trump described himself in an interview Tuesday with the Daily Caller, a conservative Washington-based news outlet, characterizing his efforts to persuade the nation's generals to follow his lead in aggressively confronting allies to spend more on their defense.
"A lot of generals don't understand it. A lot of people don't understand it," Trump said. "Amazingly alone. But I've gotten many converts over the last period of a year. But I started off amazingly alone."

What the president said is still very true. It’s an almost impossible task he has signed up for, pushing back on the long building tidal wave of sentiment towards a Socialistic status. The Bush Family is still in ragefull-shock that Trump did not need their ‘blessing’ or approval to win the presidency. Surprise! The old (Globalist) power structure is not the only one that can get the job done.
Thankfully, Mr. Trump is showing all that no, it’s not too late to push back. It takes a unique individual to do as he does each day, then go to the rallies and fire the crowds up even higher. Each day, I am thankful for this president, imperfections and all. He has courage in himself and faith in the voters.
What a bunch of crap. The above ‘Gotcha’ phrase is taken TOTALLY out of context - for the headline. Reading it IN context, Trump was plainly stating that he was amazed at how it was that HE was the ONLY one, including in a mix of top military brass, to see the importance of getting allies to pay their own way. It would be confounding to ANY normal person - like “What on Earth? You guys (military) do this for a living and yet you want to be suckers to other countries??”
Yet, the slimes try to distort it as some lonely old codger bumbling his way along on an island of One. That is NOT what we deplorables see at all. We see him steadfast in resolve.

The reporter takes a comment about getting allies to pony up on their defense expenditures out of context, then marries it with another out of context comment Trump made in response to Lil Kim’s announcement today he’s moving forward on nuclear disarmament, to try to get a headline for a slam piece. What a sucky columnist. Seriously sucky.
As for President Trump, I doubt he feels ‘alone’ in other matters. In fact, he probably feels elated and vindicated that what he has said, what we have said, for 2 years about subversives is true. What he has said, what we have said, about a warmongering, do-nothing, petty congress is true. If anything, his cabinet is energized and still as focused as ever on draining the swamp as fast as the pumps can run, of people who’d rather have the US bankrupted by regional wars, wars their own will never fight in, and reduced to just another welfare state on the UN roster.

And the press is standing back and marveling at this house of cards, and they assume that this will bring down a president. The deep state machine wants you to believe that Donald Trump is up to his eyeballs in wrongdoing. I, for one, do not buy one punctuation mark of any of it.
