The fact that Goldberg says he loves Graham means he just etched in stone, for infinity, his RINO, GOPe, Chamber of Commerce, NEVER TRUMP membership card. As if, pretty much anything he has said or written about since the start of the campaigns, didn’t convince anyone.
I liked the article. I don't always agree with Lindsey Graham by any means, but his advice that it is safe to take kids to the circus but not take them to a Senate committee meeting is spot on. And the reason is because of the hate filled atmosphere created by the electioneering back row DemonRat senators trying to create a campaign moment for themselves.
"Love our President in everything he does, always" is something I will never sign up for. I applaud him and his agenda when I agree with it, which is often. I will speak my mind when I disagree with him, but the later happens on few occasions.
Many of us held our noses when we pulled that lever in November 2016. About half the country still disagrees with him but many of us are delighted by his performance since taking office.
The right for the Democrats to oppose the President's nomination is a sacred right of elected representatives. But that right does not extend to turning the committee room into a riotous circus show; the American people will see that for what it was I think.
Not that I love Goldberg, but his love for Graham in this instance pertains to Graham’s entertainment value, not his GOPe policy preferences. Graham is, if nothing else, a distinct clown in his own right, besides which he yields occasional gems contra left.
In no Graham fan, but he did a great job at those hearings.
