Media and the Rise of Homosexuality
American Thinker.com ^ | September 8, 2018 | Mike Konrad

India has just legalized gay sex. This is roughly one-sixth of the world's population. A few years ago, this would have been unthinkable. What happened? An admission about homosexual influences, by a famous documentary, does much to explain society today.

We must first go back to the 1960s, to an amazing documentary by CBS, hosted by Mike Wallace, called "The Homosexuals."

In the documentary, Mike Wallace noted that, as late as 1967:

Most Americans are repelled by the mere notion of homosexuality. A CBS news survey shows that two out of three Americans look upon homosexuals with disgust, discomfort or fear… The majority of Americans favor legal punishment, even for homosexual acts performed in private between consenting adults. "The Homosexuals," (6:39), CBS, 1967, with Mike Wallace.

Not too long ago, people received severe sentences for homosexual behavior.

This man is twenty-seven, college educated... He has been in jail three times for committing homosexual acts. If he is arrested once more, he faces the possibility of life in prison. "The Homosexuals," (6:03) CBS, 1967, with Mike Wallace.

Yet, within a generation, homosexuality became accepted, and today it is celebrated, almost as desirable and heroic. This would have been unthinkable, even in the 1960s.

I have also noticed older people, whom I have known for decades, change their attitudes. In the 1960s, they would have been one of those Americans who saw homosexuality as disgusting. Now, they are "tolerant." The brainwashing seems to have worked retroactively.

They weren’t busting down doors and arresting a couple at home.

The gay bar in NYC that was raided was a mob run speakeasy operating outside of law.

The guys in texas who were ‘raided’ were on the receiving end of a 911 assault complaint by the jilted boyfriend of one of the men. There was an assault case pending against one of those men (from a different event with the same ex-lover) but the ex-lover was mysteriously murdered before it ever came to trial. No one seems interested in examining that murder which might upset believers of the ‘gay rosa parkses’.

Was the man in the episode arrested several times for washroom sex? That’s usually how it happens.

You mean that paragraphs after your excerpt of somethimg that begins about India, they return to a duscussion about a man in a 1967 tv program?

been in jail three times for committing homosexual acts. If he is arrested once more, he faces the possibility of life in prison. “The Homosexuals,” (6:03) CBS, 1967, with Mike Wallace.

Is American Thinker also on the excerpt only list?

I’m on mobile and do not like heavy website loads.

The rise in acceptance coincides exactly with the demise of the church and lessening of Christian influence. Something has to fill the vacuum left by religion and Satan is all too happy to oblige with whatever he can muster up.

In three weeks I have to go through 2 hours of mandatory “Diversity Training”. I am going to send our senior manager an email asking if this “Diversity Training” includes training about my conservative Lutheran beliefs and my conservative political views. If it does not, I won’t attend and the bastards can fire me.

Know any good junk yard lawyers?

Most people agree that the cigarette companies were able to get more people to smoke than would have done so normally due to their powerful advertising and product placement. Saying so is not controversial.

However, say something similar about homosexuality and you're a troglodyte.

Hmmm and it was in 1954 that LBJ got the Johnson amendment added to the tax code to prevent non-profit organizations such as churches from speaking about politics in order to be eligible for tax exemption.

Speaking as a man, we men are stinky, hairy, generally rude beasts. Women are smooth, soft, loving, graceful spirits and we men are lucky their urge to have a child causes them to associate with us. For me, to do intimate sex acts with a man seems too nasty and disgusting, considering women are designed to be the Ying to our Yang. I’m not anti-homosexuals, I just don’t want to see them doing what they do on my front lawn. The press and TV overplay same-sex stuff to the point it gets tiring to me.

"...powerful advertising and product placement."

I find product placement very interesting. Apparently just placing a product in a scene, not even drawing attention to it, causes people to buy that product. Then people turn around and say that TV, movies, and commercials will not influence people to be gay, kids to be violent, etc.

I grew up in the accepting of homosexuality world. I can’t “see back” to any good in not accepting it. I don’t have personal memory of ‘laughing and mocking the f words.” I see that homosexuality was viewed as disgusting and that everyone was SUPPOSED to see it as disgusting but I cannot see the good in that. What if you desired the same sex? Should you really lose acceptance in society?

Yes, we should all find defecation in wrong places disgusting. Urination, vomiting, etc. Yes, we should all find other people having any sex in front of us at inopportune times or places disgusting. I think we can ALL agree on those.

I just don’t see that private sexuality between consenting adults should ever be thought of much by others at all, let alone “found disgusting.” To me, it’s like getting up the dander over someone else’s choice of food at a restaurant. I don’t eat sea urchin. I can’t be bothered that there is a man at a different table enjoying his. Why care?

I admit I am a product of my time. We made posters in high school celebrating gay and straight sexuality. Androgeny was in, some boys wore makeup and glitter. So maybe my upbringing doesn’t match everyone older’s. But still, why would anyone care about what your neighbor does in his bedroom? Not seeing the benefit of hurting and shaming people for their sexual wishes.

Pretty simple. Read the Congressional report 1963 on 45 Communist goals for America. Numbers 20 and 26 make it clear. America has been infiltrated by communism and we have received it.

I lived in a top floor apartment in Anchorage, AK in the late 1970’s. I had a neutral opinion of homosexuality at the time. A flamboyant Hispanic male hairdresser and his boyfriend moved into the apartment below me. It wasn’t long until the weekend orgies started. The apartments had the same floor plan so there was a bedroom directly below mine. The things I heard going on down there at 0200 some Sunday mornings made me want to puke.

One night I was awakened by a disturbance at the second floor landing (one down from me). I investigated with a flashlight and a .45. There was the hairdresser passed out drunk on the steps and a pretty blond 15 or 16 year old boy-bitch was pounding on the door to the apartment screaming for the roommate to get up and let them in. I asked what was going on. The frantic young drama queen screamed out that “Reuben” had misplaced his keys and they couldn’t get into the apartment. I told him to keep the noise down because it was 0300 and other people lived in the building. He stated some smart-ass remark as I turned to go back up the stairs but I didn’t hear any more that night.

That was the end of my neutrality about homos. If more people were subjected to their ACTIONS and not just their WORDS there would not be so much tolerance for these diseased creatures. Their behaviors are an abomination against God and Humanity.
