BS! I was at Trumps inaguration, it was absolutely packed.
The dem organizers smartened up, too, after the flaccid turnouts of Obama’s first rally and started supplying free concerts of A-list groups to draw crowds. Then, before the bands started, Barak walks out to say a few words and the photo ops were captured. Of course, on the evening news, viewers were not told of the music that drew the crowds.
CNN did release a gigapixel of the day.

Trump supporters are responsible folks who have jobs, responsibilities and busy schedules, unlike the Democrat freeloaders who have all the time to show up at these mob events.
Violent and just obstructionist protesters trying to intimidate Trump supporters kept many from even trying to attend and blocked many of the security entrances. No Republican supporters did anything to intimidate Obama supporters in 2008 or 2012. The media conveniently never mentions this.
At almost every rally doesn’t he ask the media cameras to pan the crowd to show just how packed the event is, and they don’t?
Oh, no. Not this again. Yawn. Wasn’t it done to death, and proven untrue, January 2017?
Trump supporters will stand for hours in below-freezing temperatures, and over-100-degree temperatures, just to get in to a rally. But nobody will show up for the inauguration on a beautiful day? Riiight.

Personally, the issue of attendance at the inauguration is like going to Time Square on New Year's Eve...who'd want to stand for 12 hours without a bathroom in the cold for a brief moment of celebration? The ones who go are hard core and most normal people watch on TV.
This ginned-up attendance "controversy" was but the first of the statist attempts to discredit MAGA. My view is: who cares, outside of the DC hospitality industry? Deplorables know the attendance that matters was on Election Day especially in the polling booths in MI, WI, FL, and PA. They can't hide the fact that Freedom won, and statism lost when and where attendance mattered, because their candidate didn't (or couldn't) campaign. Even the Young Turks Election night meltdown acknowledged as much.
