More Than 200 'Resistance' Protesters Arrested During Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearings

God bless the stupidity of the far left. In an effort to prove to America that the Democratic Party is actually the one that knows how to best govern, party leaders and protesters alike turned last week's Supreme Court confirmation hearings into a clown show resulting in fake news , theatrics , and more than 200 'resistance' left-wing protesters being arrested by Capitol police.

According to NPR , "At least 227 demonstrators were arrested between the start of the nomination hearings on Tuesday and the end of testimony on Friday, according to the U.S. Capitol Police. Most of those charged this week with disorderly conduct, crowding or obstructing paid fines of $35 or $50."

In fact, it took just two minutes into the hearings before a protester was kicked out for disruptions. But, according to Linda Sarsour, this was all part of their plan.

"Disrupting the hearings was a way for us to go directly into the homes of the American people to say, 'We will not be silenced and you need to be as outraged as we are,'" Sarsour, a co-chair of the Women's March, told NPR.

This is an interesting strategy because there is nothing that tells the American people the adults are in the room quite like Code Pink folks and washed up Occupy Wall Street rejects throwing temper tantrums on Capitol Hill. (sarcasm)

It actually proved the opposite. Even Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) condemned the protests. "I think that the average independent voter — the labor family that voted for Trump last time but is now reconsidering — people like that don't think that screaming in a hearing room is a particularly effective strategy or a signal of a party that they much want to belong to," Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., told NPR's Audie Cornish. "So I think it's been not helpful to any cause that I can see."

The silliness of the left during Kavanaugh's hearing displayed, once again, that the progressives in the Democratic Party are asinine and willing to scream, and shout, and let it all out rather than communicate like adults if they do not get their way. But, as an added bonus, President Barack Obama decided to rev up his fall lecture series and remind conservatives how dismal of a president he really was. Hopefully, last week's actions by the left were enough to motivate the GOP base to mobilize the vote to retain the house and keep these jackwagons on the left out of power for as long as possible.

She is careful with her money.

She is not interested in government handouts.

They were paid in advance, while waiting in line to get into the Senate gallery.

Please tell you ‘conservative’ friend that the rich ALWAYS get richer, regardless of who occupies the Oval Office.

It simply is not true. The rich only stay rich with government help. Otherwise the first generation makes the money, the second generation keeps the money, and the third generation spends the money. It is happening with the Kennedys. It happens with most wealthy families. Only a few families manage to keep wealth for more than three generations.

I didn’t say anything about government help. I said regardless who is in the Oval Office.

There is a difference.

What is it that the red circles are highlighting in the photographs? It looks like RGB has an old coiled phone cord around her neck.

Won’t have to motivate me to turn out to vote.
Not in this election, or the coming one.

We need to give dominance to President Trump
in the House and Senate, then let’s see what
he really can do for all Americans.

Trump 2020

The rich only stay rich with government help.

You are painting with a broad brush there. Inheriting wealth is not "government help" if that's what you are implying. Taxing gains less than taxing income is not "government help" if that's what you are implying.

Actually what are you implying?

I think it’s female lawyers in black dresses with “doily” collars, dozing through the proceedings.

Can someone point to a Senate Rule that forbids the Committee from installing 1” thick Lexan between the gallery and the proceedings?

Let them scream and holler all they want in a big Cone of Silence

” ‘We will not be silenced and you need to be as outraged as we are,’”

Mam, your outrage is your own problem and is irrelevant to me and mine.

I’ve seen that first hand with my ex and her family.

only 2 out of 7 grandkids actually worked their whole life, instead of just waiting for someone to die.

My ex has spent almost a half million in a year and a half after being pretty much homeless several times since we divorced instead of just getting a damned job.

I am saying that later generations lack the drive to acquire status and wealth. For them to stay wealthy requires some form of assistance from the government. In England, it was primogeniture and inherited political power.

In the Americas, that has not been the case. Look at the Kennedy family. It even happens with politics. Do you expect Chealsey Clinton to keep or dissipate the fortune her parents accumulated through political power?

The families that generated great wealth in the 1900's are dissipating that wealth.

New rich in the digital age have taken their place.

Yeah but the bigger story was that Alex Jones bullied Little Marco and as a result Jones got a lifetime ban from Twitter. Nevermind the fact that Marco was the who approached Jones who was giving an interview in front of the cameras.

I bet every paid anarchist and the people who paid them to disrupt the hearings are welcome on Twitter.

That's Zina Bash. I wouldn't expect she'd agree with RBG on much of anything.

Ok, but inherited wealth is a somewhat narrower case. In that case you are right the “rich” almost always get poorer. But your friend needs to made aware that the rich usually do not become rich from government (or Trump’s) help, they become rich despite the government hurdles in the their way.
