If your teenage daughter suddenly declares herself transgender, should you assume she’s mature enough to make decisions that will permanently affect her health, fertility and future? Or could she be influenced by societal and peer pressure? Physician and researcher Lisa Littman doesn’t have the answer, but transgender ideologues are trying to silence her for even asking the question.
Dr. Littman’s study about transgender-identifying teens was published in the open-source, multidisciplinary scientific journal PLOS ONE last month. Her interest had been piqued in 2016, when she noticed an uptick in parental reports that teens had suddenly insisted their gender identity didn’t match their sex, although they’d shown none of the common prepubescent signs of the condition, known as gender dysphoria. She spoke to a clinician who’d observed the same trend. “When the characteristics of a population seeking care for a condition substantially changes, the responsible thing to do is to start asking questions about what might be contributing to these changes,” Dr. Littman says.
Since little is known about such “rapid-onset gender dysphoria,” the first step for researchers is to describe it and introduce topics for future inquiry. Dr. Littman surveyed 256 parents, whom she found online, collecting information about the teens’ mental health, friend-group dynamics and social-media use. Dr. Littman’s findings suggested these young people may have been driven in part by “social and peer contagion.”
Nearly 70% of the teenagers belonged to a peer group in which at least one friend had also come out as transgender. In some groups, the majority had done so. Nearly 65% of teens had spent an increased amount of time online and on social media, and parents reported that pro-transgender YouTube videos and blogs might have been influential.
Declaring oneself transgender carried social benefits, the parents reported.

One of the reasons this became so out of control is that every state in the union has a HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION that is peopled with folks who have an agenda to promote marginalized lifestyles.
They have unlimited legal assistance and the full force of the government behind them.
Anyone who disagrees or questions them loses their homes and livelihoods, ala cake maker, florists, and others.
Until conservatives disband these inappropriately named human rights commissions, they will not be able to change much in the culture.
If she thinks that she is “transgender” then it is positive proof that she is NOT mature enough. Case closed!
Teens influenced by peer pressure and succumbing to the latest craze? Nah, never happens. Unheard of.
Parents succumbed in the 60s and later to and “tolerant” of all views and teach their kids acceptance and tolerance of all things. The libs took ad advantage of that and began pushing the boundaries with more and more deviant behavior that they insisted we tolerate.
So here we are. Now what?
This occurs with a myriad of psychological syndromes, including suicide. It operates in the same way that stereotype threat does... think about how many people will read a horoscope and think this applies to me. Merely hearing about something repeatedly can create a self-diagnosed pathology in “certain” individuals.
Many teens crave attention. Always have. The punks, goth, artsy, etc. kids of the past now gravitate to thus trans nonsense. The problem is, they are now embraced by irresponsible adults! I have noticed so many of these weirdos lately in our small district. Mostly it is girls that pose as boys. Not sure why, hardly any boys.
Upstream of that is conservatives wresting control of education. We are reaping the 100 year old crop of extreme liberalism that rejects all common sense, celebrates deviancy and perversion, and makes them mainstream.

I remember hearing about how powerful the religious right was for decades. So where the heck are these people now? Seems like they don’t really have any power at all.
Back in the late 70s and 80s, religious Christians were warning that the gay rights movement was just a ploy to try to pervert our children. They’ve been proven to be a hundred percent right. Once gay rights gained a certain level support, they did a bait and switch and changed it to LGBT. Legalizing same-sex marriage was all about making it legal for the whole entire population, not for the benefit of gays. And now they are full steam ahead going after our kids. Here in New York City, there are billboards everywhere promoting LGBT youth support groups.
What happened to all the Pat Robertsons and Billy Grahams? It seems like there’s absolutely no religious leadership anymore to gin up outrage over this, or to even point out how right the predictions from 40 years ago War.

I agree. Unless current education establishment is totally dismantled, nothing really changes.
The Human Rights Commissions are one small doable part of the fight.
The people who demonstrate in the street while wearing masks, are not the Good Guys.
The people who want to “discuss” important issues by demanding that the other side be silenced, are not the Good Guys.
The best way to describe it is that it is a cult. The similarities are not surprising and the tactics identical to cults of the 80s like the Unification church.
And like and cult, vulnerable kids are easily drawn in.
They want male privelege
If enough of us openly and enthusiastically deny this crap it may recede a bit. If we don’t fight it, there will be more of it, and it will get more deviant.
The next jack booted thugs will actually will be wearing pumps.

The truth here is obvious, but doesn’t matter. Truth has no place where PC rules. The kid who shows the slightest deviance from the norm is immediately rushed off to the phony psychiatrists who will rush him/her to the dique chopper/dique shaper.
