WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump received a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un asking for a second meeting and the White House is already looking at scheduling one, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Monday.
The two leaders have been discussing North Korea’s nuclear program since their unprecedented June 12 summit which has been criticized for being short on concrete details about how and whether Kim is willing to give up on a nuclear weapons program that threatens the United States.
Trump told reporters on Friday that a personal letter from Kim was on the way. “It was a very warm, very positive letter,” Sanders said at a briefing.
“The primary purpose of the letter was to request and look to schedule another meeting with the president which we are open to and are already in the process of coordinating that,” Sanders said.
Sanders told reporters the letter exhibited “a continued commitment to focus on denuclearization of the peninsula.” She said a military parade in Pyongyang on Sunday was “a sign of good faith” because it did not feature any long-range nuclear missiles.

It took two Republican presidents to get serious about ending it: Nixon and Reagan. And give Ike his props for warning us about the necon Deep State which thrives on such things. And now finally President Trump will finish the job.

The more chances Trump let’s Kim have, the more justified he’ll be if he needs to take military action. I’m all for dialogue. Who knows, the big guy (Trump) might actually pull it off.
Honestly, I didn’t see these meetings taking place. It’s a rather good thing.
While I’d like to see the guy prosecuted and placed in prison, a peaceful co-existence would help his people and other people in the region immeasurably, and our nation as well.

Trump needs to be careful. I would not be surprised to see a Deep State / China / Euro cabal convincing someone like Kim that it is in their best interest to take out Trump.
Must be some interesting discussions about what China is doing behind the scenes to NK. The trade war is the open war being fought between China and the USA.

If Lil Kim and Trump reunify...or even just officially end the Korean War...Trump is a shoe-in for 2020.
Unfortunately, the Marxists in the Dem party are trying to create another “Cold War”, albeit a fake one. Instead of focusing on creating global alliances to destroy Islamic terrorism, they are more interested in their petty smear campaigns against Trump...even if it means tearing down the country in the process.
