Trump is a performance package who is always “on.” Like the bad guy in professional wrestling, when he sees a camera, he puffs up and threatens. As a result, he gets his (our) way, and the world is probably much safer for America, Americans, and, therefore, everybody who is not our enemy. What led us into the mired conflicts we have now is the lack of deterrence, which started under Carter and we never fully regained deterence. It was I’ll-have-more-flexibility-after-the-election Obama who turned Putin loose on his neighbors. That won’t happen with Tyrannical Trump, the Eeeevilll One.
