A couple weeks ago, the internet’s right-wing outrage machine trained its sights on the small liberal arts school in Wisconsin where I teach. Ripon College had banned 9/11 memorials, venues like the Drudge Report and the Federalist Papers declared, because they might make Muslim students uncomfortable. On Twitter, folks who’d never previously heard of the school inveighed against its reputation, suggesting Ripon must be run by anti-American communists. One professor, born in Germany, received an email calling him a Nazi. There were threats of violence, and the cleverest tweets noted, “Ripon must be a Rip-off!”

I have often said that about Black Lives Matter. You are often honoring a young thug that was resisting arrest. Must look into the context of the event.
Recall the professor who called the victims killed in the WTC attacks ‘Little Eichmans’ and said they deserved it...

My opinion of 9/11 remains the same
No Patriot Act would be needed, no TSA, no creation of Homeland Security. No 17 year, $Trillions occupation of Afghanistan would be needed either.
Simply ban entry into the United States for any citizen or person originating from any of 20 mid-east, North African or South Asian countries.

Colleges are in the business of training students to think according to official doctrine. Truth is not part of the equation.
They need 9/11 reminders as well as truth teachings rather than false brainwash teachings.
Heck maybe Muslim students should be uncomfortable. Their faith is long overdue on the whole ‘Reformation’ thing.
Am I misinformed? Wasn’t Ripon College the birthplace of the Republican Party?
At the University of Alabama this morning students placed individual flags for each of the victims, on the quad. Very touching site. Let’s Roll and Roll Tide.
If they aren’t going to acknowledge taqqiy’a (lying to promote Islam conquest) there’s no point to the lesson.
