President Donald Trump on Tuesday won dismissal of a lawsuit in which three protesters accused him of “inciting to riot,” after they were roughed up at a March 2016 campaign rally in Louisville, Kentucky during Trump’s White House run.
By a 3-0 vote, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the protesters did not state a valid claim under Kentucky law against Trump or his campaign, and Trump’s speech was protected by the First Amendment because he did not specifically advocate violence.
Henry Brousseau, Kashiya Nwanguma and Molly Shah said they had planned a peaceful protest at the March 1, 2016 rally, in which Trump gave a roughly 35-minute speech that was interrupted several times.
They claimed they were assaulted, pushed and shoved, with Brousseau punched in the stomach, and unceremoniously removed after Trump repeatedly exhorted supporters to “get ’em out of here.”
But in ordering the dismissal of the incitement-to-riot claim, a misdemeanor, Circuit Judge David McKeague noted that Trump said “don’t hurt ’em.”
McKeague said this amounted to an “express disavowal and discouragement” of violence, even if Trump wanted to quell disturbances by having protesters removed....

The one good thing about the night was that it was probably the seal on Trump’s nomination; when Cruz crashed and burned, there was no one else in Trump’s way, and this former Cruzer long ago began happily admitting that DJT was the much better choice.

I remember it well. I was waffling between Cruz and Trump...but wow...Cruz was SO opportunistic and actually took the scumbag leftist side of the argument. That did it for me.

What they did was, at the very least, rude. Rudeness often elicits negative responses. If you don't want to get your heads stove in, maybe you should keep your top holes shut.
For me as well. Cruz should never, ever have fallen for that Democrat propaganda setup, and my thought was, if he fell for that, what else will he fall for? He's smarter than that. Pressures of the campaign, I suppose.
Go into a biker, Western Music or strip club and cause trouble and see what happens to you. If you’re lucky, the bouncers will save you by 86ing your butt.

By the way, I remember in 2016 a pamphlet manual was found saying what disruptors against Trump rallies should do. “hit one of their women—they’ll react to that to protect them and it will make them mad so be sure to get near the cameras so the fighting will be videoed.””Make the whole scene look like right wing violence caused fights all over the place.”

Did we really think we would be allowed to have political assembly and freedom of speech for GOP candidates and voters? Not a chance. Alibis already set up by leftist media (their GOP speech dog whistles could cause violence by other right wingers so don’t allow them to gather at a rally).

Fox had a news broadcast saying the Dems plan on trying to get most ALL tickets to his next rally and NOT showing up BUT to make sure the place is empty!!! I hope there is SOMETHING they can do about this I believe the rally is in Missouri!!!
Cruz didn’t fall for the Democrat propaganda, he tried to use it to undermine Trump.
This paled in comparison to when Cruz blamed Trump for leftist thugs brutalizing Trump supporters in that canceled rally in Chicago.
