Looking at Mitch McConnell’s Map for the 2018 ‘Knife Fight’

The Kentucky Republican identifies a large number of toss-up contests

The 2018 midterms are setting up to be like a “knife fight in an alley,” according to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The Republican from Kentucky said he expects to see more of President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama on the campaign trail.

But McConnell, asked about whether Trump should be talking about the prospects of Democrats trying to impeach him, said, “I don’t have any advice to give him about what he says at the rallies.”

Speaking at a news conference Tuesday in Louisville, McConnell rattled off a list of 2018 Senate races he considers, “dead even.”

“Arizona, Nevada, Tennessee, Montana, North Dakota, Missouri, Indiana, West Virginia and Florida. All of them too close to call and every one of them like a knife fight in an alley; I mean, just a brawl in every one of those places,” McConnell said. “I hope when the smoke clears, that we’ll still have a majority in the Senate.”

You have to say that he has been pushing through the judicial nominees.

This is way McConnell talks about every race as far as I can remember even if he is 30 points head...which was literally the amount he won by in 2002 - yet I remember him even on the eve of the election downplaying his chances and insisting he could lose if people take for granted that they need to get out and vote. In 2016 he also made comments indicating he was all but resigned to the fact they were going to lose several Senate seats and lose their majority...didn’t happen.

It is not inspiring and sounds defeatist in a way but this is just way he has always spoken...so there is no reason to read into this that he believes one way or the other.

If the Republicans would drop the Free Trade Cheap Labor Express sh!t they'd easily win every election walking away from here until eternity. The GOP struggles when it doesn't have to.

The reason why the Republicans struggle to gain a majority is because a tiny sliver of the electorate, Free Traitor globalists ( NWO Bushies ), dominate the leadership of the party. I repeat myself, until they get the boot, the Republicans will always struggle when they shouldn't have to.

I went to hear Chris McDaniels speak tonight. He is a contender for Thad Cochran’s senate seat, from Mississippi, again. As Thud was poised to retire last time McDaniels won a spot for a runoff, which more or less caused Thad to stay for a portion of another term before he resigned due to poor health. Then Miss. Gov. Bryant appointed Cindy Hyde Smith as interim senator where she (a former democrat) voted for the spending bill that gave Planned Parenthood funding as well as taking in a large (250,000)donation from one of the tech billionaires. Smith holds a high rating with the NRA as she has been photographed shooting skeet. McDaniels gave a good speech and took questions from a small crowd of 50-60 people. He is a good conservative candidate who needs help to win a seat that Mitch and his group counts as theirs. Besides Smith. McDaniels faces two other candidates and it will be close. Anyone wishing to strengthen the conservative side of the republican party should consider McDaniels as a person to donate to.

Bush League Republicans must become extinct before the Republic does.

They do intend to give away our country unless they are stopped.

Did y'all see this?

Nancy Pelosi: ‘I Will Be The Speaker Of The House’

While I think Pelosi is senile and delusional, don't you wish some REUBLICANS had a bigger pair?

Even Pelosi, a woman (as far as we know) has a bigger set of balls than old Mitch.

McConnell, I hope when the smoke clears, your leadership will be gone and a CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN will be the Majority Leader of the Senate...

McConnell was first elected to the Senate in 1984. He shouldn’t have run in 1996. 12 years is long enough for anyone to be a U.S. senator.
