The latest polls show a statisical tie and they are no trending in Cruz’s favor. In a few weeks “Beto” will probably be ahead.
President Trump said he’s planning a major rally for Ted in October. Clearly, he’s worried about Ted’s high unlikability factor as the rest of us are.

Ted should have been primaried, however laziness and inertia left us stuck with him, so its going to take effort that shouldn’t have been needed to keep the seat.
We need to also be looking for an undamaged 2024 candidate right now.

“The latest polls show a statisical tie and they are no trending in Cruzs favor. In a few weeks Beto will probably be ahead.” And Hillary’s up by 10 in Florida and Ohio, right?

Apparently ORourke is a formidable, slick campaigner, with the Irish gift of blarney, but posing effectively as a Hispanic. The biggest mistake a poltician can make is to underestimate the opponent. Hillary found this out, to her dismay, and casual Ted Cruz may also, unless he fires up his campaign and runs like a challenger instead of the reigning champ.
