In the event the Dems take both the House and the Senate, they will immediately receive all final reports along with every other possible piece of evidence that suggests Trump should be impeached...and, they will within days fast-track proceed to do just that. They will not need to bother coercing additional witnesses or even hear new testimony.
It is naïve to think the Dems will not continue their corrupt efforts to defeat Trump and they need only their own votes to do so.
