The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), a Washington-based non-profit promoting reduced immigration to the US, has been denied the opportunity to promote one of its tweets after it was flagged.
CIS executive director Mark Krikorian tweeted Tuesday that the social networking service had rejected paid promotion of a tweet after it was inexplicably tagged as "Hateful Content."
Later, the think tank put out a series of tweets criticizing the company's decision, and providing multiple examples showing that the phrase "illegal aliens" is a perfectly acceptable term in US legal practice.
I prefer wetback anyway.
This must be stopped immediately. This is discrimination based on political speech. “Illegal Alien” is used in the federal statutes thousands of times. You cannot discriminate on political belief or speech which is a civil right under the constitution if you are in the stream of commerce of provide a public accommodation.
Let’s be honest. Liberals are running social media and they intend to use it to brainwash as many as they can.
The one hilarious aspect of it is, the monster they’re creating will eventually eat them too. I hope they don’t call for help.
More particularly, they are statutorily shielded from civil liability for content on their websites because they are considered a “platform” as opposed to a “publisher”. They can make a choice: accept liability for any illegal content on their site, or allow all legal content on their site. They cannot have it both ways.
Reinforcing my opinion that TRUTH is the new HATE SPEECH.

Probably they should be referred to as undocumented liberals, perhaps this would be more suitable to Twitter.

That is interesting. A statute cannot alter freedom of speech. I know the statute you refer to and it removes them from “liability” for anything placed on their platform. It does not allow them to discriminate . Your point is well taken. What hat do they want to wear? But note carefully the exact language of the 1st Amendment “ Congress shall make NO law abridging the freedom of speech... “ “No “ means no law!!
With all the ‘discrimination based on political speech’ that is going on right now with all these ‘social media’ companies, it certainly appears to be coordinated at a very high level. That being the case, I can’t help but feel that there is something major coming along that for them, must absolutely be suppressed at all costs.....

Their argument is that they aren’t subject to the First Amendment because they’re private companies. Fine, but why should they also be protected from liability? Other private companies that publish to the internet are liable for their publications. If they want that kind of protection on the theory they are a neutral platform that other people publish on, what’s the argument for them to censor legal speech? Either they are a neutral platform or a biased publisher.

I agree. We are in an Orwellian age to stop all descent from orthodoxy. It is literally the inquisition. This is why the deep state is so outraged not to control President Trump. I think the people sense this and are rallying to him.
