BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) - Romanian Senators have approved a law that would pave the way for the constitution to be changed to explicitly state that marriage is a union of a man and a woman.

Senators voted 107-13 with seven abstentions Tuesday to change the constitution, which currently states that marriage is a union between “spouses.” The vote comes after Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies last year overwhelmingly approved the same measure.

So they don’t want to celebrate diversity and have homosexual pride parades and all that?

They have the audacity to say marriage is a man and a woman??

The Liberals might boycott the country, cancel their travel plans and tours and conventions..........

The Romanian Social Democrats are the successor to the ruling Communist Party.

They are Social Democrats and are a lot like the Communisfs of Moldova.

“The tide is turning, common sense is returning.“

I wish. Meanwhile Coca Cola and others is pushing Ireland to destroy marriage as we have.

The reason why the Communist Party was never resurrected in Romania after the 1989 revolution is Ceausescu destroyed the brand.

If only that could be done here with our Communist Party. You’d think all the psychopaths in the Demoncrap Party would scare the pants off the straights.

In college, I browsed the foreign language library a few times, I have seen Romanian, it seems a lot harder than the other Romance languages, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and so on. It looked completely unlike any language I had seen. I’ve got to toss that in. Maybe I’ll go over to the computer translator and see how some English phrases stack up when reading it in Romanian. It appeared rather complex. Maybe it’s a bit more like Latin, maybe not. I will see. (Thinking out loud)

You pronounce it like Italian. Thing to keep in mind in Romanian - the h isn’t silent like in other Romance languages.

About 15% of the vocabulary is of Slavic origin. Still, 85% of the language is of Vulgar Latin descent and originates from the popular speech of Roman soldiers and settlers who arrived in Dacia when the Emperor Trajan conquered it in the first century.
