Poll: Mike Braun Leading Joe Donnelly in Indiana Senate Race
Breitbart ^ | 113 Sep 2018 | Sean Moran

Hoosier businessman Mike Braun leads Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) in a poll released on Wednesday. A Fox News poll released on Wednesday found that Braun leads over Donnelly–45 to 43 percent—while Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton has three percent support and eight percent of Indianans remain undecided. The margin of error for the survey is 3.5 percent, making the race a dead heat between Braun and the incumbent senator, especially considering that one-third of Hoosier voters are saying they could change their minds before the November midterm election.

The Fox News survey found that 54 percent of Hoosiers approve of President Donald Trump’s job performance and 37 percent of Indianans say the economy is doing better than worse.

Sen. Donnelly faces an increasingly competitive re-election campaign in a state that President Trump won by 19 points during the 2016 presidential election.

Thirty-three percent of Hoosierd say they will cast their vote to show support for the president, compared to 31 percent to oppose the president.

Women prefer Braun over Donnelly by five points, and voters over 45-years-old also prefer Braun by ten points. White women also prefer Braun by 16 points over Sen. Donnelly.

Hoosiers said that their top three issues for the Senate race are the economy at 28 percent, health care at 27 percent, and immigration at 16 percent. Voters emphasizing the economy and immigration back Braun, while those concerned about health care support Donnelly.

Chris Anderson, a Democratic pollster, said in a comment on Wednesday, “In an electorate that is likely to be nearly 90 percent white and majority female, a Democrat has almost no path to victory without at least drawing even among white women.”

It shouldn’t even be this close.

Excellent! The previous poll I’d seen said Donnelly was up by 6 points. This along with Montana, North Dakota, Florida and Missouri are seats the Republicans should pick up. It’s annoying Manchin seems to be safe in West Virginia.

Donnelly won six years ago only because of a stupid opponent who stepped squarely into the abortion and rape exception cowpie like Todd Aiken in Missouri.

Libertarian candidate seem to only help democrats. Democrats love when Libertarians are in the race because they know it helps their chances. The 2% - 3% or so they often get may decide a race.

There’s a reason wealthy democrat donors will often financially support Libertarian candidates.

The republicans need to help get the socialist-democrat party or the Green Party on the ticket of every state where they can start peeling off some democrat votes.

Conventional wisdom says if the challenger is ahead now, the race is probably over. Given Trump puts conventional wisdom on its head and Trump’s momentum is for the challenger, this race is definitely over. Undecided voters will break for Trump big time and the GOP wins by 6%

If the “always wrong” Fox News says Mike Braun is leading Joe Donnelly by two (2) points, Braun is more likely leading him by ten (100) points.

Talk to me about published polls and pollster pundit predictions on the weekend before the November 6, 2018 Mid-Term Elections, not now, when they are all rigged for the Democrat Party, low life!!!

A Trump rally with Bobby Knight would be good.

Libertarian candidate seem to only help democrats.

This is only true when the GOP candidate is uninspiring, which does not seem to be the problem with Mike Braun.

Libertarian candidate seem to only help democrats.

I'm not sure this holds true so much anymore. Libertarianism had a greater appeal when the Republican party was represented by stuffed-shirt neocons in the George Bush mold. These days, the Republican party has opened the doors for libertarian-leaining politicians such as Rand Paul and to a lesser extent, Ted Cruz, to work within the party. Trump changed everything.

“Donnelly won six years ago only because of a stupid opponent who stepped squarely into the abortion and rape exception cowpie like Todd Aiken in Missouri.”

And “made it possible” for Claire McCaskill to win a Senate seat for 6 years! And we talk about the “Loony Left!” When I see some of these human crap sandwiches the GOP serves up as candidates, I wonder how it survives as a Party. Akin, Judge Roy Moore, the list is far too long.

This is impressive considering I’ve seen almost no Braun ads since the primary. It’s been all Donnelly.

Women will decide the outcome of the midterm election across the nation. The numbers for Indiana is very encouraging and the women vote, if it holds, will elect Braun.

For some reason Fox polls seem to favor dimoKKKRATS. So if Braun is leading in a Fox poll that is really big news.

They are running Trump quotes supporting Braun on local radio near south bend. And there have been some PAC ads that criticize Donnelly's votes against the tax cuts. I think Braun will pull through, but it's going to be a nail bitter.

I am actually more worried about keeping Jackie Walorski's house seat.
