Libertarian candidate seem to only help democrats. Democrats love when Libertarians are in the race because they know it helps their chances. The 2% - 3% or so they often get may decide a race.

There’s a reason wealthy democrat donors will often financially support Libertarian candidates.

The republicans need to help get the socialist-democrat party or the Green Party on the ticket of every state where they can start peeling off some democrat votes.

This is only true when the GOP candidate is uninspiring, which does not seem to be the problem with Mike Braun.

I'm not sure this holds true so much anymore. Libertarianism had a greater appeal when the Republican party was represented by stuffed-shirt neocons in the George Bush mold. These days, the Republican party has opened the doors for libertarian-leaining politicians such as Rand Paul and to a lesser extent, Ted Cruz, to work within the party. Trump changed everything.

Yeah, that saved us from "President Gore".
