Chuck Todd Can’t See It’s The Media’s Fault Americans Don’t Trust Them
The Federalist ^ | SEPTEMBER 14, 2018 | Saritha Prabhu

Posted on 09/14/2018 8:13:09 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Chuck Todd’s recent article in The Atlantic was an insult to the intelligence of those of us who are ordinary voters and avid media consumers. He blames conservative media and their stars for the unprecedented distrust and credibility problems mainstream media outlets face.

That’s right: he thinks millions of Americans loathe and distrust the national press solely because Fox News, Tucker Carlson, and Sean Hannity regularly—and falsely, in his opinion—tell their viewers about the bias in national media. He is being either clueless or dishonest, and it might be a bit of both.

Let me explain some of the many reasons the national media’s approval ratings have been tanking. It is because our biggest and most prestigious media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, The Washington Post, and The New York Times have become mutant ninja outfits in the Trump era. They have not only joined the opposition but have joined the Resistance, becoming nothing but propaganda machines that actively present alternative realities to the American public.

He is being either clueless or dishonest, and it might be a bit of both.

It's one. Dishonest.

He was literally shown in the wiklileaks of the DNC e-mails as conspiring with the DNC to help Hillary out. He knows he's biased, he doesn't care. But he things were dumb enough to not notice it, that's why he lies about it.

And this goes back decades. Only in recent years can we see through the lies and the leftist media, afraid that they are losing their hold on our hearts and minds, are panicking.

And their only answer is to suggest that we must be stupid and easily manipulated versus the media looking in the mirror. They are arrogant SOBs — it can't be them!? /sarc

My wife is a recovered liberal. We never talked about politics because it would only start an argument. Candidate Trump and the arguments against him brought her around. She can no longer stand watching/listening to the “national news” because the bias against President Trump is so blatant. No matter how good the news might be, they always manage to find an anti-Trump angle to it and she has become aware of it, to the point of laughing at their efforts.

Democrats don’t care when they’re being lied to, as long as it makes them feel good about themselves.

Chuck Todd, included.

I’m sure you have had someone lie to you before, chuckie. Hard to start trusting them again, isn’t it? Well you guys in the MSM have been lying to us citizens non-stop for many years. Some of you guys will have to go away before we can ever begin to entertain the possibility of trusting the MSM again. In all likelihood, you have probably messed it up for those who follow in your footsteps for a very long time to come.

Cuck Dood gets paid $8,000 an hour to lie to Americans.

Do we think he'd stop lying for an article in the Atlantic?   thinking face

It’s the Age of Accountability for the left. From the Pope accusing the victims, Hillary exonerated, the FBI trying to sway an election and make up a case for impeachment, and the complicit, lying media blaming others for exposing their lies, the next phase of their decline will be even more extreme.

When I was a dedicated Democrat, I spent hours watching the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings.
Then I spent hours watching evening news coverage of the hearings.
The media coverage of the hearings did not reflect what I had observed.
I was repelled by the realization that the media and the Democrats were colluding in spreading lies and distortions. I had trusted the media and the Democrats implicitly up to that point.
To me, ONLY a corrupt party would need a lying press to prop it up.

I actually think it would be fun to record a half hour of MSNBC, and add my own commentary examining motive bias and even possibly debunking statements and premises, and post it to youtube, but I’ve never done this for two reasons. MSNBC would probably have it taken down due to their content being showing in segments longer than what would be covered by ‘fair-use’, and Youtube would probably ban it based on ‘hate speech’ or some other grounds. “

But if you want to see media bias and untrustworthy-ness, all you have to do is look for their lips moving.

Chuck Todd doesn’t care that it’s the Media’s fault that Americans don’t trust them. All that matters to Todd and his fellow travelers is that they dominate America and can subvert it to their will.

It is because they think conservative = stupid. Nothing will change their mind about that.

They cannot comprehend that we can think on our own, decide whether or not we are being told the truth. They think we are not smart enough to do our own research and only follow talking points from...FOX News of course. If it were not for FOX they believe we would blindly follow the Democrat talking points spoon fed by most of the media.

My husband and I do not watch TV, I have not watched FOX News in years and only see their articles and video online when a search into something leads me to them. That is not often either. Yet if I contradict a liberal or correct them when they say something that is not true their first reaction is “You got that from FOX” as if I have no brain to look anywhere else.

That is why they don’t “get it” and remain clueless about conservatives. Of course it is not just the Democrats, the RINOs think the same way about us.

Chuck and his buds in the lying leftist fake stream enemedia all know damn good and well that they themselves deliberately and knowingly destroyed their own credibility ... they did this for two reasons: 1.) to assuage their butt-hurt egos by vengefully trying to destroy Trump for having the audacity to prove them wrong, for beating them at their own game, and for proving that he is more powerful than they are;

2.) to make money ... the lying leftist fake stream enemedia was well on its way to becoming extinct before Trump came along due to multiple secular factors, but they soon discovered that they could prolong their death spiral a bit longer if they catered exclusively to the leftist loon market ... in effect, ironically, Trump has been their brief savior, at least as long as he is in office ... Daniel Greenfield makes a compelling case for the above in this article of his from 2017:

They live in a Left Wing bubble and actually believe it’s righteous to lie if it’s for their cause.

“I actually think it would be fun to record a half hour of MSNBC, and add my own commentary examining motive bias and even possibly debunking statements and premises”

indeed. i would make that a weekly or even daily show on my fantasy all-conservative TV channel that has shows ranging from yours to a conservative saturday night live comedy hour based on the many uproariously funny comments and jokes posted on FR on an hourly basis ...

btw, a good format for your show might be some kind of ripoff of the mystery science theater 3000 format ...

another show (or skit) would featur “Hitler Gets Mad” clips

yet another would be a fake discussion panel with a megan kelly type leading it and a bunch of panelist like Uncle Si spouting lines from FR along with some of the meme pics and gifs we post here ...

the ideas for parody skits are endless, with spoofs of Maxine “we must impeach” Waters, Pelosi, Schummer, Booker, alex occasional-cortez, Jerry Brown, and all the rest of the zany Dem characters ... Michael Moore would be jabba the hut always stuffing his face, Robert Reich would be a troll or a munchkin who lives under a bridge and periodically comes out and yodels some ridiculous economic nonsense ... Paul Krugman would periodically come out with economic predictions that are always wrong ... we could have a Larry Sabato dressed as a wizard with a real crystal ball (that’s always wrong too) ... we’d have a recurring feature featuring a nutjob “science guy” who blames climate change for a different ridiculous effect each skit (skits would always start: “Scientists SAY global change MIGHT ...) and then there would be topical skits too, like a Feinstein lookalike dressed up like Carnac the Magnificent yammering about the fake contents of a fake letter from a fake source about a fake event that never happened ... for the Kavanaugh hearings, we would have had the whole thing staged as an opera, including operatic protesters being dragged out, singing back and forth dialogs between protesters and Dems, between Dems and Pubs ... really, the Dems have become so ridiculously insane that we’d have endless material that pretty much just wrote itself ...
