I hate to say this, but I think they might also be holding off on prosecuting Democrats because the country is already at a breaking point. Can you imagine what would happen if they arrested Hillary Clinton . . . or Barack Hussein Obama (umm, umm, umm?). Every leftist in America would join the “resistance” and start acting out their childish violent fantasies . . . and at SOME point the adults in this country aren’t going to take it and fight back.
That said, NOT prosecuting these people is ALSO doing terrible damage to our country - maybe worse damage, as a matter of fact. Decent people who believe in justice are justifiably angry and concerned because we DON’T see justice being done, or see a double standard of justice where everyone who’s ever known Trump is hounded and given an anal exam of every moment of their lives and then thrown in jail if ANY of it is not 100% honest - while if you have that precious “D” next to your name, you’re immune to . . . well, obviously, EVERYTHING. On top of that, any thinking person’s opinion of the “justice” department has to be right down there - somewhere between the creepy porn lawyer and a bunch of sex perverts. No one trusts anything the FBI does anymore, nor should they, and our court system isn’t any better, since any RAT judge feels that have the right to stop anything the President is doing because they CAN - and, again, the “justice” department and Supreme Court just sits back with their thumbs up their asses and let them get away with it. Lovely.
when your opponents commit the crimes that have been committed including a coup and Hillary’s litany of crimes, they have to be imp-riosned for the sake of justice. We are either a nation of laws or we are not. People can’t escape justice because of who their victim is.
Weaponizing government agencies is a cliche that means nothing. Either the decision maker is honorable and following the law of not.The democrats weaponized to conduct coup. Trump is not weaponizing he is enforcing the law.
whatever trump is TRYING to do does not override the need for justice. That is owed to the citizens and not an individual thing he can ignore. He has an oath to uphold the laws of the US. Criminals must be brought to justice to maintain the rule of law.

But at work I spend time with the American public and been doing this for 4 decades. Over the years I have seen the American public get more emotional and more clueless. This doesn’t bode well for our continued Constitutional freedom.

NUMBER ONE thing Trump does that I LOVE:
He does things BEFORE he says he’s going to.
No days or weeks of “I’m going to...”; just one day he’s signing something, and THEN the announcement hits the news.
There is NOTHING more tiresome and threadbare about the GOP than the endless grandstanding — truly, a sound and a fury signifying NOTHING — about exposing this, or revealing that, or getting to the bottom of the other, that eventually turns out to be no more than just a lotta jaw-jackin’.
Let’s say Trump had appointed YOU as AG. On day 1 you would have arrested Hillary and a bunch of others…Session has the worst job in Washington, maybe in history. The day he walked in the door, there wasn’t ONE person he could trust. He had to start from scratch building a entirely new organization, with almost all new faces.

First off, your initial statement is an asinine assumption and a ridiculous straw man argument as a premise. I won’t even bother to respond to the absurdity of it but I will say that such an unthoughtful, unlawful and emotional kneejerk reaction would have been a violation of due process that would have damaged both the DOJ and Trump.
I will tell you what I would have done on day one however. I would have made it crystal clear from my first day as AG that integrity, accountability, and the restoration of the public’s confidence in the DOJ and FBI were the new currency of the realm and my highest priorities. Moreover, I wouldn’t tolerate excuses and insubordination; to do so sets a terrible precedent that only begets more of the same destructive behavior. Those would be a one way ticket out of the organization.
That said, I do agree with you that Sessions inherited a mess. But he is NOT the only cabinet level secretary, executive or senior manager in history who has faced resistance or similar challenges. One of the many problems with Sessions is that he has no executive experience. Did you even know that? It doesn’t sound like you did. He had a 20 year legal career and served as the Alabama AG for just two years before coming to Washington DC where he spent the next twenty years as a senator. He’s a lifelong politician and DC Swamp dweller. Here’s a tip for you: When you appoint someone with little to no management experience don’t be surprised when they fail. If management was easy, everyone could do it.
Secondly, it’s a tough job to be sure but far from the worst job in DC or in history. Virtually every federal agency in DC is infested with liberals – at all levels — who dislike, if not loathe, Republicans. Every Republican cabinet secretary has to basically start from scratch and is faced with daunting management challenges. If you can’t stand the organizational heat, get out of the leadership kitchen.
I was once part of a new management team that was brought in to merge two very different organizations in terms of work culture, expectations, and entrenched ways. Some people who refused to adapt were displaced. Many were resentful but eventually gave way to the new powers that be and they accepted the reality of a new agenda and management’s vision for the organization. Strong and principled management prevailed, as it usually does.
I stand by my initial post: Sessions is not an effective executive. He is weak and has stood by and watched the once trusted agency he heads descend into chaos. Difficult circumstances for sure, but again, he wanted job. Unfortunately, he essentially recused himself from his job and has been nearly invisible. And perhaps worst of all, everyone in Washington knows that he has allowed Rod Rosenstein to become the defacto Attorney General. Jeff Sessions refused to fight. At least Eric Holder fought for his boss.
It’s Trump’s decision, He can ignore any judge that would try to stop him. Article II prerogative of the Prez.

You are a jerk. The only thing asinine is your entire post. First you say Sessions doesn’t have the executive experience you need to be AG, then you immediately admit he was Alabama AG for two years. What the hell do you think an AG does, sit in court rooms or chase crooks? NO, an AG is the executive. Sessions was incredibly successful as Alabama AG, and he did it silently until he dropped the bomb - just like he is doing now.

Experienced and effective managers spend decades honing their skills as they rise up through the ranks learning how to direct resources, achieve results and engage in strategic planning. Its not something you learn in a mere two year “apprenticeship” in a political job.
One of the principle problems with the DC Swamp is the prevalence of political connections over competence. Sessions is a prime example of that, but its even worse in his case because he is disloyal.

You need to do some research on Session's time as Alabama AG, he was under similar fire as he is now - impatience and a lack of understanding of the situation at hand. Then he brought the hammer down on a bunch of crooks - from both parties.
I will apologize to you if Sessions turns out to be a dud, but don't hold your breath, because rebuilding a corrupt agency like DOJ/FBI is a lot more time consuming than simply cutting a lot of employees at EPA or Education. They don't need to be rebuilt, they could simply be shut down with no harm to the nation, but if our Republic is to survive, DOJ/FBI MUST be rebuilt to a high standard of morality/honesty/integrity.
