Those waiting to hear if their asylum cases are approved or denied were more likely to keep their monitors in tact and show up for court, but once their cases were denied, they were not likely to show up when a judge would then later order them deported.

If an illegal cuts off the ankle bracelet, they should forfeit any hearing and go straight to deportation.
When re-captured, their property and money should be seized, and they should be held for deportation - no hearing.

As others write, the bracelet should go on every illegal alien that is not immediately deported or held for deportation. Should they remove them, immediate mandatory deportation when caught. Put a bounty on them.
Well that would take reforming our laws which is being worked on currently...

Some years ago some guy here in SC was sentenced to wear a GPS bracelet so he some how got it off and put it on his German Shepard. The Shepard never left a fenced yard, but the guy was having a blast.
