And the GOP response hasn’t changed much either. What Grassley says here is the same thing the GOP said when Democrats demanded more documents, i.e. we’re not delaying this confirmation. As Grassley put it above, Ford’s opportunity to be heard is Monday. There’s no need for additional delay, not for the FBI and not because Ford is worried about TV cameras. She can tell her story in open session or closed session but she can tell it on Monday. And if she refuses to show up, the vote should proceed without further delay.

Why would she, the story is scandalously fabricated.
Why should she be given the protection of a closed-door hearing? Judge Kavanaugh has been belittled, bashed, condemned, and harassed in the public domain. She’s the one who has made the allegations, and should be made to appear in public to defend them. I’ve given up any hope of Republicans ever growing a set of balls, and a backbone.
The vote should be held tomorrow. Grassley is an ASSHAT. A true POS.

The senate calls itself the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body. What a complete farce that is.
Everyone (Democrats included) knows this is a political sh_t show. But for the Democrats, they are terrified of losing the court as their Super Legislature that can make up laws out of thin air. Abortion murderers can or fathom having to deal with the fact that they have been dismembering and murdering innocent children all along, and for decades.

Grassley has his detractors here on FR, but I always enjoy reading a letter where a Republican senator with no legal background schools a leftist lawyer on Constitutional law.
Sounds clear and concise about Senate and executive roles. Ford is formally invited, now up to her to show up or not.
