Yipee! It isn’t going to be Austin, TX

Nor Dallas! Yeehaw!

Snuggling up to FedGov. Of course. We are presently a fascist nation: corporations act to benefit government, which acts to eliminate competition for the largest corporations.

“No way it’ll be Oatlands unless they’re gonna build a new city for all the workers too.”

Yeah, it’s not going to happen there. If it is in northern Virginia, it will be closer to Dulles Airport. There’s already a lot of high-tech companies there, along with new infrastructure to support it. There’s lots of residential construction, too, as well as the new Metro extension that will be completed soon.

...would like to hear if this move could be an attempt to continuing turning VA blue

That work is done. Virginia is already blue.

Oatlands?

Really, as if traffic on Rt 15 isn’t bad enough. No way it’ll be Oatlands unless they’re gonna build a new city for all the workers too.

Oatlands?

My son has a good friend who has a nice little place with a few acres about 5 miles from there. Pretty country. I guess Amazon wants to extend the DC sprawl all the way to I-81. There are a few nice, large parcels of land in that stretch of Rt. 15. Bring on the blight.

My son lives right by Dulles airport. The massive development there is terrible. I remember how it was in the 1970s. Country.

“It’s gonna help push Virginia from purple to blue. Sorry to everyone in the southern part of the state.”

We should have built a wall on the Mason-Dixon line border years ago.

Oatlands is ~10 miles from Dulles Airport, as the crow flies. 20 miles on some of the larger highways nearby.

Hmmmmm. Sounds to me like this is “Captain’s” next project after re-developing the defunct “Orbis” site ... anyone up for making a bid for supplying the plumbing parts?

Denverites do not want any more people moving into Colorado. The political critters and their land developers want massive population expansion. The plan announced this morning will develop land around DIA to be larger than the Denver Tech Center. And there is already a plan by Aurora to develop land south of the airport to extend almost all the way to Smoky Hill Road. With or without Amazon, the Denver/Aurora corridor will be built for at least 200,000 more people.
