How many other guys were you with that night? Do you even remember?......they're all excellent, relevant and necessary questions, but I don't think they'd be allowed in a courtroom and the Republican committee would avoid them like the plague - it's perfectly acceptable and even apparently required in 'rat circles to automatically believe that any accusation against any man is automatically the truth, and beyond that he should have no chance to defend or explain himself - on the other hand, any woman is always to be believed in whatever accusation she makes - she is always the victim and certainly never the aggressor - in fact she in no way, such as, say, imbibing too much alcohol or deliberately associating with people of questionable character, responsible for the bad things that happen to her, and to even suggest that she is proves that the person raising the possibility is a bully and hates women - it is a sad state of affairs, but it seems to be where we are......

i was asking about her parents. there was a letter of support posted by her family - but not included were her parents or her brother. now maybe they have supported her elsewhere - but thought it was beyond weird.

Brett Kavanaugh’s problems would be over if only he had a Hillary Rodham type lawyer:

The fact that there is a political conspiracy in place against constitutional, limited, government - and against judges such as Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh who stand for it - hales back much further back in time than the “vast right wing conspiracy . . . against my husband” claim made by Hillary Clinton twenty years ago. That has been undeniable for so long that it hales back almost to the time referred to in Mrs. Ford’s complaint against Judge Kavenaugh.

Even by Ms. Ford's own telling, in the putative incident:

• nobody was killed.

• the prestige of the US government was not compromised by the brutalizing and murder of a US ambassador.

• nobody spent a night in terror and fighting for their lives without support from their U.S. government employer.

• the incident putatively happened way back in 1982. No less than a third of the people who were alive in America in 1982 - have died by now. In that perspective, is Ms. Ford’s angst actually the only thing that matters?

And the truth of the charges alleged by Ms. Ford against Judge Kavenaugh cannot actually matter.

• It will never be clear that the charges are true - and it will never be clear that they are false. The charge is too indefinite and witness-free. It asks Judge Kavenaugh to prove a negative.

So the question for Senator Feinstein, is

“What difference, at this point, does it make?"
