Marc Thiessen: Ford vs. Kavanaugh -- How much evidence do we need to destroy someone?
Fox News ^ | September 21, 2018 | Marc Thiessen

Christine Blasey Ford has accused Brett M. Kavanaugh of attempted rape while they were both in high school -- a charge he unequivocally denies.

She can't remember the date the alleged attack took place. She isn't even certain about the year (although she reportedly thinks it may have been the summer around the end of her sophomore year when she was 15).

She can't remember whose house she was in. She can't remember how she got there.

She says she didn't tell anyone about it at the time, not even her closest friends -- so there are no contemporaneous witnesses to back her claims.

~snip~

So far, there are accusations but no corroborating evidence. And accusations without evidence cannot be the standard by which a man's reputation and career are ruined.

Both Kavanaugh and Ford have been ill-served by Senate Democrats in this process.

Feinstein, the Judiciary Committee's ranking Democrat, knew about Ford's accusation for about six weeks and did nothing.

She never asked Kavanaugh about the allegations in private or in public. She did not use the confidential, bipartisan process that the Judiciary Committee uses every day to assess the credibility of allegations against hundreds of judicial nominees -- which would have given Ford the chance to talk to the committee's professional investigators in a confidential setting.

Bizarrely, to this day Feinstein has not shared a copy of Ford's unredacted letter with Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa. But Democrats appear not to have been too scrupulous when it came to protecting her confidentiality.

~snip~

Indeed, no reasonable prosecutor would agree to bring a case. But in the court of public opinion, the standards of evidence seem to be much lower. This much is certain: The standard of evidence to ruin a man's reputation cannot be zero.

And the letter in which she relates her allegations still has not been released by Diane Feinswine.

The GOP needs to try this tactic next time a Dem President nominates a male. First, the Dems will instantly turn on the nominee. The GOP will not have to do a thing except put the accuser in touch with MeToo. The more the Dems attack men, the fewer men there will be in the Dem Party. Let them hang themselves.

How much evidence do we need to destroy someone?

When you have the weight of either corrupt political party behind you, you don't need any evidence at all.

Did she send a similar letter to Gorsuch? Or was that just a rumor?

Just the mere leveling of the accusation will suffice. No evidence necessary.
Verdict first, trial later.

Democrats are playing to their activist feminist base. They are miscalculating. Feminism at its core is an anti fertility cult. The majority of American women are not sympathetic. Most women are mothers and a high percentage have sons. They inherently understand this charade is meant to destroy a successful, heterosexual, Christian man. This ultimately will hurt the Democratic Party.

Has her husband done DNA tests on their children to determine whose they are?

Everyone who promoted this charge unskeptically needs to be served defamation suits, from the accuser to her co-conspirators in concocting the false charge, to the media and politicians who certainly know this is false and promote it anyway. I hope Kavanaugh goes scorched-earth against these people, it’s less than they are due.

No evidence is needed. Minds have been programmed and are ready to believe. Truth does not matter.

The new Truth:

Men are always guilty of rape, unless they are in a position to vote for abortion.
Whites are always guilty of racism.
Non-m*slims are always guilty of islamophobia, even when they are saying the truth about the most violent religion in the world.

You don’t get to defend yourself. If they interview you, they are looking for words to impale you on, not to exonerate you. You are guilty.

This is war and our side is acting like a bunch of old ladies at a quilting circle.

There is a very BIG reason DiFi won’t release that letter!

I suspect the whole thing collapses when we find out why.

It’s not the nature of the evidence, it’s the seriousness of the charge. The republicans suck!

I am reminded of the Salem witch trials where innocent people were executed based on “spectral evidence”, witness testimony that the accused person’s spirit or spectral shape appeared in a dream at the time the accused person’s physical body was at another location.

Feminists always fall back on the lie that most woman don’t report being raped as cover to lie and destroy innocent white men.

How can she not release the letter? Isn’t that the reason all this is taking place Fords evidence so to speak.
