First up on the Court docket is oral argument in Weyerhauser v. Division of Fish & Wildlife, an important case involving the “Chevron Doctrine” of deference to agency rulings. Kavanaugh is likely to be a pivotal 5th vote in favor of Weyerhauser and for reining in out of control dictatorial federal agencies. The case is set for Oral argument on October 1, the first day of the term. By tradition, if a Justice does not participate in oral argument, he will not take part in the deliberation or decision of the case.
Kavanaugh needs to be confirmed no later than next Friday.

This is BS by Grassley. They moved Friday to Saturday. this is the 4th move to make this POS happy. What next after move to Saturday Sunday then Monday. He can call the vote for Monday and her lawyer can call 1hr before the vote and say the magic words “ she will testify” and the will cancel the vote. she cannot do it the week of 9/24 because she does not fly and has to drive. Hearing will be put off until the first week in Oct. This farce will continue until Jan 1st 2019 when dems conrtrol the senate and everything will go away. Ford will just disappear along with her false accusations and Repub will come of looking like the fools that they are. kavanuagh should sue all involved for slander.

Democrats knew they had nothing on squeaky-clean Judge Kavanaugh so they devised a plot to take him down in July. This was at the same time anti-Trump protester Christine Blasey Ford sent her letter to Senator Feinstein.
I agree with you with one worry.
We’ve been continually reminded, even by Grassley, that a portion of Ford’s letter to Feinstein was redacted and Republicans prevented from seeing it.
My guess is it contains some kind of name or evidence that will give the appearance of validity and will be time consuming to check out.
The Republicans will be forced to decide on delaying until after the midterms or forging ahead. Feinstein and Grassley are old friends. I don’t trust him.
Another old time Democrat Party trick. Ford is a liar and they know it. This whole exercise is to rile up women, and get them out in huge numbers to help win back the House and the Senate. So damn predictable. Ford was never going to testify at all. The Dems are just waiting for Grassley and the Judiciary Committee to reject a hearing for her, and schedule a confirmation vote for Kavanaugh so they can use that as a campaign issue to show the GOP hates women and doesn’t take sexual harassment seriously. This is so predictable.
