If Democrats Delay Kavanaugh Vote for Another Week — His Confirmation Is Over

Here is something the liberal mainstream media will not tell you. This also explains why the far left attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford refuse to testify before next Thursday.

Democrats know if they delay the Kavanaugh vote for another week his confirmation process will be over.

Thursday is a significant date in this story. Because of senate rules which are complex, if Ford testifies next Thursday the vote on Kavanaugh will be pushed back at least another week. In this environment that very well means – forever. His nomination will be over.

And So will any Trump nomination to the court. There is no time before the midterms for the White House to introduce and vet a new candidate. Democrats will have prevented the president from filling this vacancy. We’ll have just eight justices for the foreseeable future. And probably until there is another Democratic president. You may have voted for Trump in hope that he would put reasonable people on the Supreme Court. But TOUGH!

I think they have to wait 3 days before a vote after any testimony. If she testifies Monday, the vote would be Thursday.

If this is correct, why haven’t the Republicans been informing the public of this for the past few weeks? Have they really been allowing the Ford gang of Dim activists to steer the nomination in that direction without making a public issue of it?

I heard Tucker’ spiel and have no doubt the dems are gaming the system, but the “forever” comment made no sense. It’s over a month til midterms.

Good, it certainly made no sense at all. And I guess Kavanaugh could join the court immediately even if confirmed after the new SCOTUS term opened, maybe just recusing from any cases where he might have missed the oral arguments.

They should stop kidding themselves that this is a normal proceeding. The Democrats aren’t going to vote for him if he’s Mother Theresa.

They don’t care if the accusations are true, they don’t even believe them themselves. They only want to delay it to kill it.

So stop playing their game. Play your own game. Vote Monday and get it done.

And then put Feinstein’s finances under a microscope. She deserves some attention.

A perfect example of the nonsense that you find on the Internet. This is BS.

Justice Gorsuch was confirmed to the Supreme Court on April 7, 2017 and he was sworn in on April 10, 2017. He participated in oral arguments on April 18, 2017 in the case of Ricky Henson, et al., petitioners v. Santander Consumer USA Inc. The case was decided on June 12, 2017 with Mr. Gorsuch writing the majority opinion.

So knock this off, it only takes a few minutes to discover a few simple facts like this.

The Supreme Court Docket for Arguments in October, 2018 can be found here:

What Democrats aren’t taking into account is that Kavanaugh is one of the more “moderate” names on President Trump’s Supreme Court list. He was reportedly Kennedy’s pick to succeed him, and he was reportedly at the top of Romney’s list of Supreme Court choices.

If they can defeat Kavanaugh, not only will it drive Republican voters to the polls, they’ll get a nominee they’ll like even less.

Remember who the other finalists were.

This nonsense by Tucker Carlson is just one step above Shep Smith’s deranged reporting about people eating each other in the Superdome during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Something else to keep in mind is that most of those cases are probably inconsequential in the big picture. The court generally shies away from ruming on landmark cases unless they have all nine justices seated.
