Lot of people on FR are a lot more touchy than back in the old days. Often times I’ve left a polite comment only to be blind sided by a paranoid.

I’ve heard M Savage compare Kavanaugh with Roberts. But in the end he supports him, as a far better choice than anyone a dem president would make.

Roberts didn’t face much opposition because he replaced conservative Rehnquist, which did not tip the ideological balance of the court.

Kavanaugh has been thoroughly vetted by the Federalist Society and is acknowledged to be a strict constitutionalist. He is supported by many conservative legal minds, such as Mark Levin.

You can argue all day that he’s a globalist plant but associate justices do not get involved with impeachment. Only the Chief Justice, who presides over the senate trial and does not vote for or against conviction.

When Ford finally comes to the committee, she will make up some new charge which will need even more time to investigate. This will go on and on. At some point, Grassley is going to have to stop it. The Dems and the media will scream “sexism” no matter what happens, and some stupid Republican and independent suburban women will be persuaded to not vote for Republicans. It’s just the way it is.

DiFi needs to turn over the unredacted letter so we know what the ACTUAL initial charges are.

I still think Grassley needs to put DiFi on the witness stand to explain her actions.

I don’t think the Dems would be
fighting this nomination as hard
as they are if Kavanaugh was a
squish. They are truly terrified
of the thought of him being on
the bench.

Right -- but go back over the last few years and notice how many of these relatively inconsequential cases end up with lopsided decisions or narrow decisions where the votes don't break down along politically ideological lines.

Even important cases can have surprising results with unexpected votes. Check out the Carpenter v. United States case from last term, which involved the privacy of cell phone records and the legal obligation of the police to get a warrant before getting a hold of them for a criminal investigation. I'd say 95% of the folks posting here on FreeRepublic agreed with the majority decision of the court -- which was made by Roberts, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan

Kennedy, Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch were the dissenters in that case.

Unless McConnell’s plan is to hold the confirmation vote post-election with lame ducks, that would be one heck of a reckless gamble on reshaping SCOTUS. Or he’d rather not have Kavanaugh be confirmed. If conservatives overturn Roe v Wade, it will not “end abortion”, but transfer the issue to the states, returning state politics to the front burner. Dems would realign their money and efforts into reversing Republican gains in governorships and legislatures (and would likely be successful). Vast and unforeseeable consequences.

Mark Levin trashed Sarah Palin and tried to DOX The Conservative Treehouse in ‘16 without transparency that a relative of Levin’s was intimately involved with Cruz’s campaign.

But honest thanks for correcting me on how impeachment is not decided by SCOTUS.

I have reason to believe Karl Rove hired Code Pink, or people in masks and outfits that looked like Code Pink, to “protest” a book signing of his back in the day.

Now, ask yourself, why would Rove hire CODE PINK to protest against his own book signing?

Once you answer that, you win the Hegelian Award for exposing Uniparty tactics.

They are afraid of the optics of caterwauling democrats rending their garments in anguish over the perceived atrocity before them.

Sounds like pretty good optics to me.

If Ford were another Anita Hill - she would be in DC already.
Whatever is going on with this woman - everyone around her & Ford herself are avoiding cameras.
This woman does not want the public to scrutinize her.
There has to be a good reason for that & it can’t be good for their side.

“I think Kavanaugh will be another Roberts.”

Maybe, but now that he sees with his own eyes what lengths the left will go to destroy the natural order of the confirmation process and what they are willing to have happen to an innocent man and his family, I would be amazed that he would be “go along to get along”.

I think you’re right, and as a Christian, I choose to call them Elite Satanist Uniparty FR Plants.

It’s fun to watch them make mistakes, btw.

“I my view, Ford’s claim is nothing more than a figment of her’s, or someone else’s imagination - pure fabrication from start to finish.”

There is evidence of Ford being a serious partier and from almost the beginning I have thought the whole thing could be a composite of her party experiences where she just put the Kavanaugh name on the composite in order to contribute to the “Resist” movement. She and her lawyer/handlers are leftist activists. She also has 4 daughters/stepdaughters. Her present husband is her 2nd husband. Why would anybody want to put this stuff out for the world if you have children and a husband?

I guess you think you have better judgment than Trump on his pick. So tell us with your gift of discernment, did Kavanaugh assault Ford?

“Deep State Globalist Bush Plant To Give Them An Impeachment Vote Against Trump”.>>. when i saw the high school yearbook of the girls high school with drunken keg parties through out, i then included kavanaugh and all the the suburban ilk as part of the swamp and corruption in DC. The swamp is very large there.

Yes, this whole thing started in the colleges, where the woman was always believed and the guys were always ejected from their schools with a "rape accusation/conviction" with no avenue of testifying to clear themselves.

This is beginning to change slowly, as a lot of guys are beginning to fight back; but, doing this at a political level brings a whole other aspect of being railroaded; as, Dems want the charges to be true, and will believe them with absolutely NO evidence, such as this dust-up with Kavanaugh. They are becoming bolder because the various types of media will always believe them.

I do not trust him. According to my research, he is in the SES - like Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller, Horowitz, Huber, et al, were/are. That is Deep State Central.

Having said that, I would take him over any communist abortionist who sees the court as a fiat factory.

And I absolutely deplore the way the RINOs are again allowing their masters (DemoKKKrats) to dictate terms while ostensibly out of power.
