I have two theories as to why Grassley is behaving like such a baffoon(He knows by the way that he is being played) either they do NOT have the votes to confirm Kavanaugh(My guess, either Flake, Collins, Murkowski, or all three) refuse to confirm him..and since there will be NO Democrats confirming Kavanaugh, it would be a lost cause even trying to seat him..if they had the votes they would have gotten this over with last week. Second theory is that they are terrified this is going to cost them in the midterm elections, which makes NO sense..the morons who are screaming and bitching about Kavanaugh will NEVER vote Republican anyway so who the hell cares what they think
It isn't about Ford, it's about the RINOs he needs to get lined up behind the vote, and the deals he will have to make to get their votes.
He has to be seen as having bent over backwards and offered her every opportunity.

If he lets it go just a few more days, by law ( or more likely just Senate rules) Kavanagh’s nomination just goes away and the RATs have won!
Do we know for sure that Grassley’s latest deadline is 2:30 pm? I saw it noted on one thread, but not from a source that seemed particularly in a position to know. I’ve not seen it reported in any of the news media yet.

I agree and Grassley deserves the benefit of the doubt for now. But his flaw may be that he is actually somewhat of a normal human, and he is dealing with evil sub-humans like Chuck Schumer and Kamala Harris. Grassley may not be capable of understanding how low the dems will go.

I know it sounds a little far fetched for the Republicans, but give that Even HuffPo could conduct a poll showing that anyone believes Ford maybe their intentionally letting this drag out in an attempt to make the Dems look even worse.
