US seeks to curtail green cards for immigrants on public aid
Associated Press ^ | Sep. 22, 2018 11:20 PM EDT | Elliot Spagat

The Trump administration on Saturday proposed rules that could deny green cards to immigrants if they use Medicaid, food stamps, housing vouchers and other forms of public assistance.

Federal law already requires those seeking green cards and to prove they will not be a burden — or “public charge” — but the new rules detail a broad range of programs that could disqualify them.

The Department of Homeland Security said current and past receipt of certain public benefits above thresholds would be considered “a heavily weighed negative factor” in granting green cards as well as temporary stays. […]

Coming less than seven weeks before midterm elections, the announcement could help galvanize voters who have backed or opposed Trump’s broad crackdown on legal and illegal immigration. …

They were never supposed to be eligible for public assistance to begin with. If they couldn’t support themselves or have someone supporting them (not the public) they’re not supposed to be here. Send them home.

The first generation or two of these Latino bastards would work dirt cheap. Then they found out that they didn’t need to do that, they could make just as much money, if not more if they bought more of their kind along with them by just collecting welfare. Now that’s all they’re here for. Screw working,as they see it , the stupid gringo’s will just give them money for being here.

Yep. They take an oath to the migration officer to not go on welfare

In other news the janitorial contracted crew in my company have all their employee and management meetings in spanish

Workers of the world unite my arse. This is completely unconstitutional imo

1. Federal law already requires those seeking green cards and to prove they will not be a burden

2. Past receipts of certain public benefits above thresholds would be considered “a heavily weighed negative factor” in granting green cards.

3. Will clearly define long-standing law to ensure that those seeking to enter and remain in the United States either temporarily or permanently can support themselves financially.

4. 60-day public comment period before it takes effect.

5. Potentially disqualifying benefits include [1] Medicare Part D prescription drugs, [2] Medicaid with some exceptions for emergency services and [3] disability services related to education, [4] food stamps and [5] Section 8 housing vouchers.

Yes. It was pretty well defined in documents, when it was the INS, too. IMO, most of what we’re seeing is exaggeration and hype.

Immigrants are not supposed to be on public assistance. They should be sent back if they are.

Should be automatic deportation of any non-citizen that requests government assistance. No exceptions.

Yes, and zero visas or immigrants from any country that does not take back deportees. No exception.

"The first generation or two of these Latino bastards ..."

Not just Latinos, but Russians also. Look at Brighton Beach.

I was told that Maryland gives them something like almost $5K a month, plus benefits.

I stand behind them in stores and watch them check out carts full of stuff I can’t even afford to look at, let alone buy.

The local car auction is now 80% illegals.
I always wondered how the same guys could afford to come back every week and buy yet another car.

Several years ago I had a mini-stroke after a bad chiro session.

I went to the ER and told them what was going on, as if they couldn’t *see* the right side of my face and eye were drooping.

I waited 7 hours to be seen.

I *think* the elderly white lady who was sitting behind me, sliding progressively further down in her seat, as she waited, too, died.

After all that, and it was *way* too late for that “miracle stroke shot”, they happily took me back and did thousands of dollars of tests on me, although by that time, I was fine.

Couple years later, a hospital worked told me why.

If I “jumped in front of” all the illegals with snotty noses and ingrown hairs, the hospital could’ve been sued for discrimination.

Over 61% of the people collecting some sort of welfare benefits in California is an illegal. California admits that.
