WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Forty-five percent of Americans now have a favorable view of the Republican Party, a nine-point gain from last September's 36%. It is the party's most positive image since it registered 47% in January 2011, shortly after taking control of the House in the 2010 midterm elections. Forty-four percent give the Democratic Party a favorable rating.
The parity in Republicans' and Democrats' favorable ratings marks a change from what has generally been the case since Barack Obama's election as president in November 2008. Republicans have usually been rated less positively than Democrats over this time, with the Republican Party's favorability rating for the last decade averaging 39%, compared with the Democratic Party's 44%.

Ratings would be in single digits for all tv programming if that was the case. They’ve politicized everything

Or you mean news? News ratings are not good, and the late night talk shows like Kimmel, or Maddow etc Ann Coulter put it best, it’s the same 2/3 million people who switch around to see someone preach their leftist drivel.
Take the average of 94% Trump and 6% for he rest of party and it come out to roughly 50% +/- 5%
also in a country of 300 million 2/3 million is nothing.
That is unexpected. Who would have guessed that demanding a Salem Witch Trial of Brett Kavanaugh would play badly with normal Americans?
We all have mothers, sisters, and daughters whom we would want treated with respect if they were the victim. Who would have guessed that we also have fathers, husbands, and sons whom we see as deserving of due process and a fair hearing?
And the tolerant left will screech louder and longer and higher.
I’ve already seriously cut down on my social media (except Freep, for some reason) time. Guess I’ll cut down some more!
