I would have just kept him up the mast and started sailing east.
Kept going until he fell to the deck or into the ocean.
He wouldn’t have lasted very long without water.
If he fell into the ocean “Skipper: hey Mac, did you hear something splash? Mac: nope, didn’t hear nothing skipper. Skipper: Must have been my imagination”.
If he fell on deck; “Skipper: Damn he broke his stupid neck. Mac: we’ll ice him down till we get back to port skipper”.
