The so-called “news” media completely got what what Trump said.
They are desperate to keep the content of the speech away from the American people.
the FakeNewsMSM “laughing” was mild; and when the President came back with his usual good humour, there was MASSIVE LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE.
also worth noting - the FakeNewsMSM laughter came before the President mentioned any of his economic accomplishments, yet this is how it got reported by some:

Well, dragnet2, that’s not exactly how my question was to come across.
The “tolerant” left, and the MSM, all are trying to ridicule the President, and the speech, because the folks at the UN laughed when he said he’s accomplished more in two years than any other President. By re-directing everyone to this laughter, they are thus able to ignore the actual speech.
My question, o great condescending one, was more of an effort to see if any Freepers had been successful in refocusing the attention back on the actual speech with any of their left-leaning associates.
It was not, as you put it, me “feeling helpless” or that I “owe liars and cheats a response”.

And Btw, these stooges came out and told you and everyone else, they are there to resist and obstruct. So of course they go after Trump with the only thing they have, which is to mock, slander and lie. And most of the media is little more than the communications division for deep state.

There was a bit of a commotion when the president said, "In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country." Then he adlibbed "So true" and they laughed. They were laughing with him as much as at him.
It may be surprising but Trump can sometimes charm people who don't agree with him. Reagan could. So could some other presidents. Kennedy certainly. FDR too. It's a very useful skill in the political world.
