Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) alleged on Wednesday that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was not truthful with senators earlier this month when he said he never violated grand jury secrecy laws during his time working for Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr.
Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Politico that she obtained a memo from the National Archives that showed Kavanaugh instructed a colleague in the Starr investigation two decades ago to call reporter Chris Ruddy about matters before the grand jury.
Such an action would violate laws that prevent disclosure of grand jury information. Feinstein claimed to Politico that the memo also conflicts with Kavanaugh's testimony earlier this month that he never broke those rules.
Politico reported that Kavanaugh's request to call Ruddy related to questioning of grand jury witness Patrick Knowlton.
Knowlton claimed to have seen someone in Fort Marcy Park shortly before White House lawyer Vince Foster was found dead there in an apparent suicide, which was reviewed as part of Starr's investigation.
Democrats have attempted to argue in recent weeks that Kavanaugh was not entirely forthcoming in some of his answers about his time in the George W. Bush administration during his Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
However, those claims have been overshadowed in recent days by sexual misconduct allegations from two women against Kavanaugh.
Christine Blasey Ford alleged earlier this month that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and groped her during a 1980s high school party.
A week later, Deborah Ramirez went public with an allegation that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a college party in the 1980s.
Kavanaugh has denied both claims, and said he will not withdraw his nomination. He and Ford are set to testify on Thursday about her accusations.
Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Tuesday rejected Feinstein's calls for the testimony to be delayed until an FBI investigation is ordered and conducted.
Lets move the goalposts one more time.
Hypocrisy knows no bounds with scumbag Democrats.
Perhaps we should look further into her Chinese spy issue while we’re at it.
She’s a nasty bit of work. I think that we need an FBI investigation into her choices in hired help (yannow, just for informational purposes).
Rats find Ford flopped so theyre seeking to smear Kavanaugh on other fronts.
Theyre really desperate.
I know it is being kind, but she is one filthy, gutter-slime, RAT. (I know I left a few out...) She is just throwing red meat to her ULTRA-RADICAL far left base trying to hang on to her senate seat as long as possible to keep her China connection going...
Dianne Feinstein is the last person who needs to lecture people on truthfulness.
In my mind, DiFi is in this picture.
Fine Dianne. Take that into account when you vote on Friday.
This hypocrisy comes from the same woman who deliberately sandbagged the Judiciary Committee and she has the chutzpah to accuse Kavanaugh of misleading the Senate.
Something about DiFi coming in with clean hands is applicable here.
Yikes, this really puts doubt on whether Frankenfeinstein will be voting ‘yay’ for confirmation on Friday. Hopefully, Grassley has enough votes without her.
I think that we need an FBI investigation into her choices in hired help (yannow, just for informational purposes).

The FBI? Investigate a Democrat? Don’t make me laugh.
All these accusers reminds me of THE original accuser: Satan.
Perhaps we should look further into her Chinese spy issue while were at it.
All we need is for Trump to throw it out there in a tweet to freak her out.
The hearing has been scheduled.
So has the vote.
Hold both and move on.
DiFi has no business lecturing Kavanaugh on on honesty.
Pot meet kettle.
time for a GOP colleague to accuse Feinstein of misleading the FBI over what she knew regarding the Chinese spy she trusted with classified information
“What a nasty woman”... ping
Her terrible behavior has little to do with Judge — soon-to-be Justice — Kavanaugh, it’s that her poll numbers still show her re-election is still in big trouble because Democrat/Leftists think she is not far-enough Left.
Did the “memo” have that same, funky, mis-matched font thing going on that Feinstein’s letter from Dr Ford has???
And just how can seeking additional information from other sources, no matter who they are, be conflated into having 'disclosed grand jury information' ? ?
No way Feinswine came up with this Hail Mary on her own, she's not nearly smart enough for such nuance.
Some smartassed sjw staffer kid, holding most of America in contempt, just thought none of us would notice.
Dear God forgive me, but I abolutely despise these loathsome seditious creatures . . .
