This is going to be a hellacious week. And by hellacious, I mean a total mess. The Democrats are out for blood. The GOP is still figuring out what the hell theyre going to doand the rest of us get a front row seat to gutter politics in its purest form. In other words, what politics is and what it has always been: a sewer fight. At the end of the day, to get something done, someone has to be defeated. Someone has to lose. On one side, the Democrats shudder at the thought of a solid conservative majority on the Court that will gut one of their favorite activities: aborting babies. On the right, conservatives see a solid majority on the Court, something theyve dreamt of for ages. Its within our grasp. Justice Anthony Kennedy retiring offered us that chance. Judge Brett Kavanaugh picked as the nominee. The hearings, which were rambunctious at times, went swimmingly. The confirmation vote was going to be smooth as well. The GOP has the votes. They still do. But then the sexual misconduct allegations came knocking because Democrats will do anything to slow the decline of their position in Washington.
These allegations lobbed by Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez are 30-plus years old, there are gaps in the timelines, there are no corroborative witnesses, and theres no evidence. Ford alleges an attempted rape at a high school party. Ramirez alleges indecent exposure at a college party at Yale. Evidence-free allegations work for the Democrats, whose entire game plan is to destroy Kavanaugh, derail his nomination, and run out the clock on the GOP being able to fill the vacancy before the midterms. Fords lawyers dragged their feet on trying to get her to go on the record, with the GOP offering her a private and public hearing, along with an option to have staffers fly to her home in northern California to get her account on record. Theyve reached out, but the Democrats pivoted. Its hilarious.
She deserves to be heard was the Lefts war cry before the GOP started offering avenues to tell her story. Then, it was oh, how dare you bully her into telling her story. Its insanely transparent. The playbook is an open secret. Delay, delay, and delay some more. When things started to buckle, another allegationRamirezdropped to further gum up the works. And again, no one can recollect any of these womens allegations. Ford cant remember how this high school party came about, how she got there, or who hosted it. Due to the lack of evidence, they run a second blitz: have the FBI look into this. For whattheres no federal crime here. The Democrats are trying to dragoon an executive agency to do their dirty work. Yeah, says the party that thinks the Trump White House is fraying the institutional integrity of the nation.
Democrats are licking their lips at the thought of the destruction of a mans life because they dont agree with his legal opinions, saying that hes not afforded due process of law, that the burden is on him, and in one case, suggest that his legal views might make him guilty of sexual assault. Its unfathomable. Only Democratscough* Keith Ellison cough* cough*--are afforded the benefit of the doubt and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Due process of law is not and cannot be applied to conservatives. Its wrong. Democrats are always wrong, but theyre united.
Dem idea of justice: on MTP Daily, Sen. Chris Coons just said that Judge Kavanaugh "bears the burden of disproving these allegations." #tcot#BrettKavanaugh#ChristineFord#MTPDaily#DeborahRamirez pic.twitter.com/fZcouvWsXo Mark Finkelstein (@markfinkelstein) September 24, 2018
The GOP seems to be stuck in neutral. We all know they want to confirm Kavanaugh. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said that a vote is coming hell or high water. Thursdays hearing on these allegations is still set for Thursday. Hold the hearing, set the votethat should be the game plan. Like the New York Giants offensive line, we have issues: Sens. Jeff Flake, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins could buckle. What is Flake up to right now? We dont know. Hes stayed out of the spotlight ever since the second allegation dropped.
ng to be jacked up on hysteria. Theyre ready to go. The GOPs base is also ready to go, but if Hill Republicans cave to the social media mob, Democratic delay tactics, and other theatricsthe jig is up. I will vote for my party no matter what. Im a base voter, but I could definitely see and respect those GOP voters who sit out this year if the Republicans continue to be toyed around with like some circus freak in this SCOTUS fight.
I just asked Sen. Lisa Murkowski, key GOP swing vote, if there should be a full FBI investigation into allegations from Kavanaughs past. It would sure clear up all the questions, wouldnt it? she said Manu Raju (@mkraju) September 25, 2018
if vague, shaky allegations with no witnesses or evidence can be used to destroy Kavanaughs reputation and career, a precedent has been set, and this can be done to anyone else the Left chooses.
This is not a hard concept.
Yet so many blue checks too dumb to grasp it Buck Sexton (@BuckSexton) September 24, 2018
The Democrats have launched a coordinated assault that targets Kavanaugh, our values, and institutions by blithely ignoring due process and faults in these allegations that very well could be total and utter nonsense. You dont get to lower the standards for evidence just because you hate someone. Thats the mind of a two-year-old. If the GOP caves, baseless accusations can be used to kill anyones nomination. Anyone can make these things upand yes, while the Me Too moment is newits not as if people have lost their ability to lie. Politically, Republicans will undercut one of the main reasons why Republicans showed up at the polls for Trump in 2016: judicial appointments. Many skeptical Republicans knew about Trumps shortfalls and deviation from GOP policy orthodoxy, but McConnell held the line in blocking Garland and Trump picking a successor to the late Antonin Scalia was obviously the better choice than Hillary. Screwing this Supreme Court fight up is one way to increase chances that the Democrats totally dominate the 2018 midterms. If a party cannot withstand the pressure thats build upon hot air, unsubstantiated gossip, and social media loserswhat good are you?
I feel like this is the breaking point on whether professional republicans will allow themselves to be pressured into obedience by the national media or not. We shall see. John Ekdahl (@JohnEkdahl) September 24, 2018
The prize here is too good to give up. We may never have another chance to tilt the Court heavily in our favor. Yes, its worth the risk. Again, who cares about Democrats being animated? Theyve been that way since inauguration day. Republicans should worry about their backyard, their voters, and their goals. Often, I feel the GOP gauges their decisions based on the actions of the progressive base rather than the people who put them in the position theyre in on the Hill. Yes, its a cliché. But in the era of Trump, you have to fight back. You have to get mean. You have to get dirty. For Republicans: this is what the order should be: fix bayonets.
We have a president who punches the liberal media in the mouth, outmaneuvers them, and stands behind Kavanaugh. We have to win this, especially since the allegations are so thin that even Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), whose office set off this firestorm, admitted that the Ford allegation might not be true. She later backpedaled for obvious reasons. The New York Times did not follow The New Yorker, who broke the Ramirez story, because they couldnt confirm anything. In fact, Ronan Farrow, who co-authored the piece with Jane Mayer, said that Senate Democrats sought out the Ramirez allegation and in doing so, pretty much cornering her. Oh, and she finally came forward when she was able to assess her memories after a week. Thats quite the process.
Ford retained an anti-Trump lawyer, Debra Katz, and took a polygraph administered by an unknown former FBI agent, but her story was that she wanted to remain anonymous. No, these arent the actions of someone with that mindset. This is a game plan for going public. Its a politically motivated hit job. Republicans should see it, as its as clear as day and not be afraid to hurl punches back at Democrats for this appalling and deplorable smear campaign against an eminently qualified judge. If you dont like this process, Democrats, heres a suggestion: win elections.
In the meantime, we are at war with the Democrats. We should adopt a take-no-prisoners approach to this because the Left already has. Decency and civility will never be rewarded in this scenario. The media wont give you brownie points. Set the tempo, get out there and fight, and ignore what CNN, MSNBC, and other liberal trash outlets whose sole purpose is to keep liberals blood pressure low say about the matter. Trump supporters and Republicans know the attacks against the Trump White House are nonsense, as are these allegations. Keeping the base happy is necessary to any election. The GOP is flirting with disaster to think like moderates in this fight. If not for Kavanaugh, fight for the rule of law and due process thats also being brutalized and trashed by this smear campaign. The GOP has the ability to end all of this nonsense. Hold the damn vote. Yes, Democrats might try and impeach Kavanaugh if hes confirmed and they retake Congress this cycle. Thats a battle for another time if that happens. Right now, fight for this man with everything you got. Stand behind Brett. So far, Mitch and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, are trying to set battle lines. Grassley has already nixed the idea of summoning the FBI, which they can't really do, to investigate these claims. It's a start, but we need to get rolling on the vote and getting our people in line.
The Rs had better get on a war footing? You’d have a better chance of asking Wally Cox to box the heavyweight champ.
Someone tell him:
War footing? The Repukis are allowing all of this. They are the cause of all of this.
Yep this is it. If they cant fight for the people on this, if they back down and whimp out then they will have set in place a paradigm by which all other things will be judged in the near future and that will be that whatever a woman says cannot be questioned. That they cannot lie and make up stories and that even if they do it is a man’s fault. It will also entrench the lie of the left that all men are potential rapists. They will have thrown away the presumption of innocence and swapped it for the female mob rules. The female mob will be the ones who determine who goes down for their actions and we know the men on the left only will if it suits the mobs ability to continue to persecute and rule! Republicans need to grow a pair like their President! This isnt just for all the marbles, it for ones ability to be in the game!
Just waking up, so dunno if this has been posted already: Looks like the R’s on the Committee do indeed have a few tricks up their sleeve. This came out overnight:
“The Senate Judiciary Committee just sent out a timeline describing how they responded to the allegations against #SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh. It appears to indicate they’ve been in touch with two men who believe they had the “encounter” with Christine Blasey Ford”
Check out the pics there. I can’t post them directly, so here’s my transcript:
- Committee staff have first interview with a man who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter with Dr. Ford in 1982 that is the basis of his [sic] complaint. He submitted a written statement earlier in the day.
- Committee staff have a second interview with a man who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter with Dr. Ford in the summer of 1982 that is the basis of her allegation. He described his recollection of their interaction in some detail.
- Committee staff receives a more in-depth written statement from the man interviewed twice previously who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter in question with Dr. Ford.
- Committee investigative staff spoke via phone with another man who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter with Dr. Ford in 1982 that is the basis of her allegation. He described his recollection of the details in the encounter.
It’s rather hilarious to see that progs / leftists / libs / Dems in the thread are screeching that these revelations are coming out just before the hearing, or that they’re just made up.
"Whoa. Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans say they have spoken to two men who think they, not Kavanaugh, had the 1982 encounter that formed the basis for her sexual abuse claim. (These tables are from a timeline the committee majority published 15 minutes ago.)"

“Believe All Men” :-)
Judge Kavanaugh and his family have received death threats. Senator Grassley and his staff members have been threatened. Others have been threatened. Look at how those dirty, feminist baboons are behaving.
Better get on the horn, e-mail and letters to your senators in both parties. Tell them to confirm Judge Kavanaugh, if they want an unprecedentedly large turnout. Otherwise, they won’t get enough votes to avoid public ridicule.
Otherwise, a corrupted judicial system will influence our whole government will soon act like those harpies that are attacking our Supreme Court justice appointment process to establish permanent control over it.
Republicans better put their game faces on for this one because even RINOs aren’t spared in this fight. If you lose, that Big Blue Wave you were worried about will sweep the House and Senate and alter the politics in this country for decades!
Better to fight from a position of strength, then to try and reason with these nutjobs.
Yes. Those poor men, when they were no more than innocent, inexperienced boys, were forced by that horrid beast into an “encounter.” People should stop accusing them of “assault” against the she-demon. They’re victims!
How would you feel, if after waking up from being plied with alcohol and whatever else she had them take, if you later found out that you’d been with...that! And imagine the shame and humiliation that they must endure in their courageous, heroic efforts to speak to our whole nation of being so horribly violated and soiled!
If I’d awoken to discover that I’d been mauled, tainted and rendered permanently pungent by that frightening monstrosity, I’d never be able to look another human being in the eye for as long as I lived!
So, uh...she DROVE out there to take a polygraph at the AIRPORT..?
Who believes THAT..?
This insect is a complete LIAR.
Linking opposition to Kav w/ fund-raising looks suspiciously like Democrat blackmail.
She and other Democrats are scrounging for campaign money on the back of Kavanaugh's nomination.
ACTION NOW: Americans demand charges be filed against Kamala....and other Democrats....
who undermine the political system, by putting a price on their votes against Kavanaugh.

Swetnick claimed that in 1981-82, she became aware of efforts by Kavanaugh, Judge, and others to spike the punch at house parties I attended with the intent of incapacitating a girl who could then be gang raped. She said she witnessed Kavanaugh and Judge lining up outside a room waiting for their turn.
She also said that in 1982, she was a victim of gang rape, while drugged, with Kavanaugh and Mark Judge present.
However, according to the New York Times, Ms. Swetnick grew up in Montgomery County, Md., graduating from Gaithersburg High School in 1980 before attending college at the University of Maryland, according to a résumé for her posted online. "
Judge Kavanaugh graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1983.
I LIKE that! great job!
So; it's Mark and Brett, right?
How long did it take for you guys to recover from that beating you got back in '85??
I was on the boat with you and didn't get a scratch.
