Discovery: In a late-breaking development Wednesday, Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans revealed they had talked to two men this week who said they had an encounter with Christine Blasey Ford decades ago, and that she is mistakingly blaming it on Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The revelation came amid a flurry of last-minute accusations from at least three other women against Kavanaugh, one who claimed he ‘raped’ her in the back seat of a car.
Committee Republicans said in a statement that on Monday they conducted their “first interview with a man who believes he, not Judge Kavanaugh, had the encounter with Dr. Ford in 1982 that is the basis of his [sic] complaint.” They conducted a second interview the next day.

Seems that Ford can just say that no mistake was made, but since you guys admit to assault as well, I will be pressing charges shortly.
Maybe they’re thinking that since it was them & not Kavanaugh, and they know the truth of what really happened, they should be honest when asked about a drunk encounter between teens in bathing suits at a party.
It sounds like they didn’t ‘come forward’ - they just didn’t lie when approached by staff investigators.
HOW did staff investigators find these guys?

Probably two of many whom will confirm the rumors. Ford liked sex, ALOT.
There is no knife to fall on. Any normal man that didn’t have this sort of scrutiny can say, “sure, I pushed a little too hard in a parked car from time to time when I was a kid. I grew up. So sue me.” and that’s that. They know that her charges could never be proven and there is no risk of any kind of prosecution, etc. I suspect they would describe it as drunken fun they were all participating in and then they fell off the bed and she left.
End of story.
If it had been me and I came forward, my wife would laugh about it. With two boys now around age 40, my wife and I understand young men. Duh.
The people coming down hard on this have no clue about human sexuality and puberty. Or they do have a clue but are lying - and their bias probably is allowing them to lie to themselves.

wow, I just checked nbcnews.com and they have NOTHING about these two guys. Sure, they have about eight stories about Kav...but none about the two men. Hmmm..

While all you say is true, that was not my point.
In a nutshell:
This revelation will not exonerate Mr. Kavanaugh (not those who have the power to deny him a seat on the Bench, nor will it satisy the mobs of feminazis who want kavanaugh’s head) and it puts these guys in a position to be open to some kind of criminal charge or civil fine or both.
You may have noticed that whether it’s family court, domestic violence, or sexual assault the women’s word is 90% of the law, even if it is an obvious lie, and usually carries the day.
Even when it doesn’t the male is often taken to the cleaners emotionally and financially when all is said and done.
We’ll see.
It's just too far out of line to get into those HS and college days. Mygosh, look at some movies from back in the day.....Animal House, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. School was where part of the maturing process was testing limits.
If these men come forward, it will be interesting to hear how the situation seemed to the guys.
Another thing, about the woman who said she was black out drunk and she knew that Kavanaugh was black out drunk. Most drunks I've encountered in social and personal situations (unless they're on the prey) think everyone's as drunk as they are. If she was near black out drunk, she'd have no way of objectively knowing just how inebriated everyone else was.
I'm thinking that it had to be the home of one of the MEN at the party of wherever she was.....and also very close to her home since she walked home.

If they succeed in killing this nomination we MUST go sexual Scorched Earth on every Democrat Yalie currently in any position of power.
Unlike Kavanaugh many of them are actually guilty of drunken assaults.

I get that, but here is my take: This story only has legs in the court of public opinion. And that only matters with Kavanaugh.
These guys are not going for high public office. Their friends would just laugh at this.
And there is no way this is ever becoming a criminal investigation. It doesn’t warrant it and never will. It would require a court of law, and that means all sorts of witnesses regarding repressed memories, false memories, the severity of what REALLY happened, etc.
Kavanaugh is exonerated because it wasn’t him. And I doubt there is not a member of congress that is not “guilty” of the things he’s actually admitted to.
