Even the article doesn’t say that the permitting info is wrong. It just says that her testimony points backwards in time from 2012, and that 2008 is indeed prior to 2012.

A co-worker of mine has a neighbor who has an 8ft tall barbed wire topped chain link fence surrounding his house. He has the infrared perimeter sensors that anything breaks the beam the alarm goes off. He has cameras on every corner of the house covering every possible approach to the house. On top of all that he had burglar bars on all the doors and windows, as well as tinfoil attached to the inside of the windows. He had a narrow path so the meter readers can do their jobs, and this path was totally enclosed in chain link.

The movie Panic Room came out in 2002, well before the permit date or the professional counseling date. If she was so friggin' concerned about her safety, the installation of a panic room would make a whole lot more sense than an additional door. I am really hoping for a happy outcome to this, along the lines of making false claims publicly (press) or in court (including any form of deposition) becoming a felony across the board, with sentencing guidelines of a minimum of 5 years behind bars. The statute should also be written such that the accused can go after the accuser for 3x the amount that the accuser has profited off the accusation. That would bring the GoFundMe's to a screeching halt.

Now, the left will scream about how this would have a chilling effect on reporting rape … but would it really? If a gal is really raped, she could report it to the police, and then she would be in the clear regarding the criminal aspect. If she does not attempt to profit from taking the guy to court, she would be in the clear on the civil aspect. In other words, you can file a police report, let them do their job, let the DA bring the charges, and you have nothing to worry about. There are enough lefties getting their gonads handed to them now (Matt Lauer, Keith Ellison, and any of the Congress Critters that used the $17M hush money fund to silence accusers) that there might even be bipartisan support for this approach.

The second front door was the one painted green to match the house.

The original is the one with the covered entry and the door is painted red or orange.

The extra door is on the left. The main front door is dark red at the end of a breezeway to the left of the garage.

In the comments below the article are reports of recent drive-bys. There is now a vine-covered trellis mostly hiding the extra door and a six-foot high gate to your left as you approach the breezeway.

someone posted the prior and remodeled floor plan.I can’t find it now but it would be relatively easy to rent a couple of rooma and they could keep the new master bedroom and bath...in the permit it looks like a window not a door in front ( possibly built for door and changed after apporovale or if kids were grown) and it is not a front door it goes directly to a bedroom or office...
