I would like to see McConnell call for a roll call vote and have the clerk call the names of the dems in tight elections first. Make them commit to a yes or no before proceeding. The way they play with their votes to help them look more moderate to voters ahead of a tight election is appauling. What does it say about honesty and character. Not sure if there is a rule preventing McConnell from doing it but since when do rules matter when democrats pull their dirty tricks. But I also doubt McConnell is smart enought to think of it anyway.
It's not that he's not smart enough, it's that he's TOO smart. He doesn't want to PO or put his colleagues and friends from across the aisle, on the spot. That would ruin the comity of the Senate.
